The forest calls to me as I climb a tree. The bark smooth and soft. Leaves and branches brushed my body as I continue upwards. This tree is so tall.
I don't think I'll ever find the top in the shade of the leaves. Looking up I see a light. Climbing towards it I find its an opening.
Bursting through I find the top. Finally to the top. It's easily the tallest tree in the forest. Looking around all I see is the beautiful green of the treetops.
But something's wrong. There's no bird calls. No animals jumping through the trees or across the ground. No predators stalking prey. Nothing. It's so quit, to quiet. I'm scared.
Looking up I see the clear blue sky, but its changing. It's growing dark and cloudy. I see my father's face in the clouds.
"Father!" I scream hoping he can hear.
But there is only silence. I fear I may have gone deaf when lightening cracks across the sky and I don't hear the thunder or rain. Everything is silent even with me screaming for father. He looks down at me and smiles.
"Allie. Don't be scared. You where meant for greatness. Focus on your path and protect the ones who need you. I am always with you my little alley-cat." His voice sounds of singing birds and soft rain.
It's so melodic I find myself calm and happy even with the silent storm whipping my hair and drenching me.
"I promise daddy." I said softly knowing he can hear me.
"Now wake and prepare yourself." With that it all disappeared and went black.
