Rowan was struggling against the door so I knew it was be heavy. The doors were creaking open slowly and my heart was pounding. What is Rowan was lying. What if he kills us.

The doors finally open to reveal a disaster. There is books and papers on every surface. The only empty space is a desk in front of the door. There is a middle aged man sitting behind it. He had black thinning hair and black eyes. His skin was a little wrinkled but not that much. His body but built up very muscular.

"Come in and have a seat." He calmly said looking at me and lane with interest.

Walking in we realized the only place to sit was the floor. Deciding to stand and not let my guard down I looked him in the eye.

"My name is Allie and this is my mate lane." I simply said searching for any form of threat.

"I know kitten." Bristling slightly at the name I squared my shoulders and made myself appear strong and dominate.

The alpha didn't mind and that was weird. Usually alphas like their position to be known and respecting. They didn't like anyone to appear more dominate.

"My name is Zane. I am the alpha of this pack, and I welcome you to stay as long as you want." He said beaming at me not caring about lane.

"What's the catch." There had to be something he wanted.

Ignoring my question he pressed a button on the intercom.

"She's arrived." What was that suppose to mean.

Is he talking about me. I heard familiar squeal at the other end and before I knew it I was attacked from behind. Lane growled furiously and grabbed me, pinning me into a corner and crouching in front of me in a protective stance. Hissing at anyone who came close.

The people who had attacked me was my family. My mom looking better than ever stood there proudly beaming at me and crying. Kristi is standing a little in front of mom staring at lane warily waiting to protect mom if needed. Jacob is doing the same thing but in front of Brianna and Nicholas who are clutching each other scared of lane but smiling at me.

Pushing lane aside against his growling protests I ran to my family. Hugging the closest which was Kristi I sobbed in relief. They all surrounded me hugging and crying. I thought they were gone. The knot that's been in my stomach since we were separated disappeared. I don't know how long we stood there crying on each other and giving hugs and kisses. All I know it that it was the happiest moment of my life. When we finally settled down lane was pacing and looking distraught.

"Lane what's wrong?" I asked walking over to give him a hug. He just clutched me to him and smelled me.

"I hate when you cry." He whispered in my ear. His voice sent tingles down my spine.

"Oh my goodness, you have a mate! That's so great! I can't wait to have grand babies." My mother screamed hugging me and lane. My face flushed.

"Calm down mom, your not getting babies for a while." Mom pouted but smiled after a second.

"Down to business." I said looking my family in the eyes.

"What happened?" They all smiled. Creepy
