You don't urge to seek

more from me,

but you are there

whenever I reach out to you,

you talk to everyone

a lot I see,

but only a few words

you got to me

Maybe it's the guilt

that's why you are here,

no other purpose

you had to bear,

wasn't I a good friend

to make you stay ?

or your guilt was enough

to behave this way...

You come and go

like the wind whistling through leaves,

sometimes you are here

and sometimes you are not!

And all this time I hadn't realized,

I was letting you in,

in my heart and my soul

but your words just made

a different boat,

Now that floats

in the guilt you poured...

I'm badly hurt

in the crack of my soul,

my insecurities were resurfacing

and my doubts were showing,

tears burned in my eyes

with a broken heart in my chest

thudding so loudly

I wanted to cry so badly I'd say

but lying there were thousands of shattered

pieces of my soul

that made me realize a thing so bad,

I had no tears left to cry

So I wept silently,

sitting in the dark,

for the lost friend

that might forget me

But his silent whispers

and hushed echoes

were the words he smoothly

embedded in my soul

With a pen in my hand

tears dripping on the scribbled

pages of my diary

I think about him

Oh I think about him...

A/N :
»  I was thinking when a purpose of a person to stay changes, how much it affects us.

↠  He no longer wants to stay in your life just because he wishes for it, but it's guilt that's binding him to you, it's guilt that's a cage he isn't able to break free, it's guilt that makes him sit with you and talk to you.

↠  But now all there's left is his guilt as the last thread of friendship left between you both.  And when that thread broke, he became free and left...
