I know when we enter a relationship, it seems like a fairytale Our broken selves seem whole when we're with our "fated mate"
We forget all our problems, everything's alright when we're with them They're like an answer to all our prayers, our saviours, our redeemers
But some come to fix and some come to break again So we have to learn to feel whole without them
Nobody is the perfect partner and a broken glass can't fix a broken glass Put together they may look complete but the cracks remain, they're still fragile
Love can be bliss when it starts, young and free, no worries But are you ready to see the dark parts, those horrid thorns on the lovely rose?
Survive in a nightmare before meeting paradise so that when the goings get rough, you'll be strong enough to get through it
We may all fall but we must get up One love shouldn't take away your peace And I know it'll hurt but it will heal Once it's done, it's done
Even when we're falling apart, we have to trust that we'll be strong enough to get through it Then you'll know just what to feel when you realize, It's not the end of the road but the start of a whole new chapter
So when you're at your lowest low and you don't know what next to do When your heart is aching and you desperately need healing Hold on a bit, give yourself time, you'll get up soon and one day, you'll be whole again
