BTP KABANATA 6

"Should we start na?" I asked.

"Hmm," he nodded. "We'll focus on one subject first."

Hinanap ko ang trans ko na para sa Anaphy. I'm having a hard time understanding Applied Anatomy and Physiology because it's not my thing. I prefer Chemistry.

"Let's start with Anaphy."

Tumango siya sa akin at kinuha ang trans ko. He read it for a couple of minutes and looked at me.

"Did you bring any notebook?" he asked, fixing his eyeglasses.

I shook my head. "iPad lang." Akala ko kasi hindi ko na kailangan ng notebook. I have my iPad that has note-taking apps, so I don't write on my paper notes.

He sighed and stood up. "Hey! Saan ka pupunta?" He didn't turn his back on me, so I pouted. After a minute, he came back holding a thick notebook. When I say thick, it's thick thick!

Ibinigay niya sa akin ang hawak niya kaya kumunot ang noo ko. "You should invest on notebooks too. You'll need that in the future."

"Kanino 'to? Sayo?"

"Obviously."

"Sungit." I opened his notebook. Ang ganda ng sulat! It's neat and has different kinds of colors. May drawing pa! God, this man is the true definition of perfection.

"That's my notes from first year nursing, but I shifted to Pharmacy after a year," he said, looking at his iPad.

"Ang ganda ng sulat mo. Give me some tips." Binanga-bangga ko pa ang balikat niya.

"Stop doing that," he hissed.

"Alam mo, you should stop being so masungit. I mean, you look hot when you're like that, but like 'wag mo naman araw-arawin." Umusog ako ng kaunti palayo sa kanya para hindi na siya mag-sungit. Baka ihagis niya ako sa bintana niya, nasa 20th floor pa naman kami.

I heard him sigh. "I'm born to be like... this."

My forehead creased when he said that. "Are you tanga? We were born kaya na umiiyak. I remember seeing my tita give birth to my cousin, and my cousin was crying at that time! I can't believe the first thing babies do is to cry!" I said with hand gestures to add some flavors.

"You're crazy."

"I'm pretty not crazy."

"You are," he insisted.

"I am not nga!" I shouted, standing from my seat.

"You get amused easily. Being shocked about a newborn baby crying, seriously?" he said, still looking at his iPad. How can he manage to read while arguing with me?

"Ugh! You're so annoying. I can't believe I like you!" I shouted all of a sudden. He looked at me with an amused face. He always does that, I noticed.

"Chill," he chuckled. "Sit, then we'll start."

Truth to his words, we really started studying. He become serious once again. He didn't entertain any question that is not related with school. Ang hirap tuloy niyang landiin. Nauubusan na ako ng deep tagalog banats sa kaniya and he doesn't even care!

I'm not good with deep Tagalog words, but I'm trying to impress him. Nico told me, he likes smart girls who can speak fluent tagalog. Ang weird lang.

"Stop drooling and listen to me." He rolled his eyes. Why does he keep on rolling his eyes? Mas maarte pa ata siya kaysa sa akin! I roll my eyes too, but not often as he does!

I tried to absorb everything that he taught me though I feel dizzy. I need my bed right now because anytime soon my eyes will close.

He looks ten time attractive while talking about school stuff. Lalo tuloy akong nahuhulog sa kaniya. Nakahalumbaba ako habang nakatitig sa kaniya. I don't even know if information are staying in my mind or lumalabas din sa tenga ko.
