Harry's holidays had not started the way he was hoping. He had planned to go to the Malfoy Manor the day after he arrived home. Sirius and Remus had other plans though. They had decided that they were going to have Harry spend the entire first week with them. They said it was for some much needed family time. Harry was happy to be spending time with them of course, but he was frustrated that he had to postpone his plans. The family decided to spend time together by going to the coast for a week. They stayed at a cute little hotel in Brighton and spent the week shopping and exploring. The week seemed to simultaneously go by quickly and drag on. He tried to keep his impatience to himself as family time meant so much to Sirius and Remus.
The minute they got home, Harry placed Odessa on his bed and gave her a quick kiss on the head. As he left his room, he flicked his wand and his trunk flew open as his belongings flew around the room and put themselves away. He ran downstairs, grabbed a handful of floo powder, stepped into the fireplace and threw the powder at the floor.
"Malfoy Manor!" He stated clearly.
He arrived in their entry hall and quickly stepped out of the fireplace. He sped up the stairs and stopped at the top, trying to decide whether to try Lucius's office first, or Tom's bedroom. He decided Tom's bedroom would be the best place to try first as he was already closer to that. He ran to the door and knocked.
"Who is it?" Quirrell's voice questioned.
Harry didn't bother answering and just opened the door and stepped inside, closing the door behind him. He saw Tom's face, still attached to the back of Quirrell's head. A sigh escaped his lips.
"Tom, lovely to see you again. I am sorry about the lack of contact this last year. I just didn't trust Albus to not intercept any letters. But I do come with news."
Tom's face lit up as he jumped to a conclusion.
"You found the ritual?"
Harry just nodded.
"Lucius! Come now!" Tom shouted.
Within a minute, Lucius barged through the bedroom door. He paused quickly as he stared at Harry.
"Hello Harry. I didn't realise you were coming to visit."
"I apologise Lucius. This was urgent though and I didn't have time to owl ahead of my visit."
"All is forgiven. Now what is the matter?"
"Harry has done it. He found the ritual I need. It shall be performed tonight, assuming that it is possible to perform by then?" Tom looked at Harry for an answer.
"Unfortunately that isn't possible. The potion takes three weeks to brew. But I am willing to make it all myself."
A frown appears on Tom's face. The look of disappointment makes Harry feel disappointed in himself. Maybe there was a better way to do this? One that could be done instantly? But as much as Harry thinks about the possibilities, he knows deep down that the potion is the only way to go about this.
"I'm sorry." Harry whispers.
Tom's head snaps to wear Harry is standing. A look of confusion on his face before the realisation of what Harry is apologising for hits him.
"Don't be sorry! You did what I asked and I imagine it wasn't easy to find. I shall help you do the potion. It's only three weeks. I'm sure I can manage another three weeks like this." Tom rushes to say.
A small smile appears on Harry's lips as he nods his head.
"I shall go and spend some time with Draco, and then we shall begin working on the potion. I will come back here once I say goodbye to Draco."
Tom says goodbye to Harry and Harry leaves the room to find Draco.***
He stops by the library and looks inside. A smile forms on his lips as he sees the blond boy nestled in an armchair by the window with a book in his hands. Harry silently walks up behind the chair and leans over the back. He kisses the top of the blonds hair and Draco lets out a shriek, dropping the book and jumping off the chair. His face changes from a look of panic to one of pure happiness as he realises it's Harry.
"Come here." He says with a grin.
Harry smiles as he walks over to the taller boy. Draco wraps his arms around Harry and Harry returns the hug.
"I missed you." Draco whispers as his chin rests on Harry's head.
"I missed you too."
The two boys stay there hugging for a few minutes before moving to sit on the love seat beneath the window. Draco picks up his book and opens it. He then closes it straight away. He looks down at Harry who is laying on the couch with his head resting on Draco's lap.
"When did you arrive home from your trip? I thought you were arriving this morning and would be over here straight away?"
"Sirius decided he wanted one last ice cream before we left Brighton. So we ended up being a little later than planned. I hated not being able to see you all week. I really did miss you."
"Of course he did." Draco says with a chuckle. "I really missed you a lot too. I don't like being away from you."
"It was hard being away from you."
Draco smiled down at Harry before opening his book and beginning to read. One hand holding the book open, and the other twirling Harry's long, silky hair. He looked at the boy and sighed. Harry's eyes opened and as his eyes locked with Draco's, a beautiful smile graced his lips.
"Harry? Would you like to go for a walk around the gardens?"
Harry sat up as he nodded his head in response. The two held hands as they headed through the Manor and outside. They walked slowly through the gardens, only stopping occasionally as Harry wanted to admire some plants. They made it to the centre of the garden where an intricate fountain stood. It's water flowing and creating a lovely sound. The two sat on the bench as they watched it. Draco turned to face Harry and took a deep breath.
"Harry?"
"Yes Dray?"
"Will you be my boyfriend?"
Harry's eyes widened in shock. A petrified look appeared on Draco's face as he realised what he had asked. The silence between the two boys seemed to last forever. Suddenly, Harry's face lit up.
"Of course I will Dray! I'm so glad you asked."
As a look of pure relief graced Draco's face, Harry leant over and kissed Draco on the lips. Draco melted into the kiss and the two parted, both with huge smiles on their faces.
"I've been wanting to do that for nearly two years now." Harry said with a cheeky grin.
Draco's face went pink as he blushed at Harry's honesty. That boy will be the death of Draco. He's sure of it.Hey everyone! I finally updated!
