Valentina's POV
I sat on Itachi's daughter's bedroom floor playing barbies with his daughter.

Our daughter.

"You're so cool. Did your mom show you how to be so cool?" His daughter asked me.

I paused and thought for a second my response.

"No, I never had a mommy," I replied truthfully. I don't think I ever felt like I needed a mom.

"Oh." The child grew silent.

"Are you worried about the ANBU mission your mom went to?" I asked her. I couldn't read her mind and making her feel good wasn't something I was trying to do. I was trying to imply fear on the young girl in front of me.

"Yeah," the realization seemed to hit her. Worried filled her dark doll eyes and she dropped her Barbie doll.

"But don't worry. If something happens to your mommy, I'll take care of you and your daddy." I couldn't help but smile as I said that. She nodded returning a smile.

The front door to the house opened and the love of my life walked in.

Itachi's POV
I arrived to my house and was greeted by the anbu.
The weird one. The loner. The one whose left her only companion, the loud mouth Hidan, in hopes of having  a relationship with me. If we could even call what we had a relationship.

"Itachi, my love." She said as she placed her arms around my neck and kissed me on my lips.

So my conclusion was in fact correct. She was in my home and I let her be in my home. And she was in love with me. I could see it in her eyes. I could feel it in her loving arms.
But I didn't love her back. Not yet.

"My love, where do you want me to place the pizza?" she took it from my hands.
Quickly taking a step back away from me. Confusion and disappointment flashed all over her eyes as my daughter was heard rushing towards us from her bedroom.

"Daddy, you're back!" My daughter greeted me and my attention shifted completely to her.

"Your dad brought us pizza so we can all eat. Like the family we are." The lonely anbu spoke. Her words made me removed my hand from her head. My wife Lilian was gone for a mission and the anbu had already mentalized my daughter that we were a family.

However, my daughter just smiled. She hadn't smiled like this in a while due to being in constant arguments with her mom.

"Itachi."

The anbu quickly took a step away from me and my daughter at the sound of my wife's voice. All of our eyes quickly travelled to the front door.
The image of my wife and my best friend Shisui standing at the door caused my stomach to drop

"Mommy, what are you doing here?" My daughter rushed to hug my wife.

"I couldn't go on the mission. Itachi, I am pregnant." Lilian said sternly. A death glared shot to me and then traveling to the speechless anbu a few feet from me.
"With your baby."

And with that, I dropped the glass cup that I didn't even notice I was holding.

"Don't worry. I'll pick it up." Soon the anbu was on her knees trying to pick up the shattered glass that had scattered on the floor.

"Don't, Lily or whatever the fuck your name is." My wife's voice was threatening, causing the lonely anbu to quickly pick herself up to her feet.

"Lilian-Chan, I don't understand why you're speaking to me this way," the anbu asked, a look of shock still splattered on her face.

"You know exactly what I mean. Manipulating shit to send me to missions with Hidan while you stayed back here and held hands with my husband."

"Lilian- I don't know what you're talking about-" before the lonely anbu could finish her sentence, my wife slapped her hard causing the anbu to fall to the floor. I quickly felt the need to grabbed my wife. Afraid that she would collapse to the floor as well due to the strength she used in giving that slap.

"You couldn't expect me to not find out when you touched and kissed my husband in front of the whole anbu team. You even fucking told everyone that my husband would divorce me to be with you. You're sick!" Lilian began screaming.

"Lilian, calm down." I begged my wife. I wasn't used to seeing her this angry. She was always a happy woman with a smile on her face since I met her.

"There aren't any records of her. I even confirmed with Obito. He knows nothing of her either, besides her name and her obvious relationship with you, Itachi-Kun." Shisui spoke from the door. His eyes glaring at the anbu as if by staring at her he would get all the answers to his questions.

The anbu quickly got up from the floor. Her hand still placed on the side of her face my wife had slapped her in.

"Itachi, tell them about us, my love." The lonely anbu whispered while she looked at me with tears in her eyes.
And there was indeed a lot to say about my affair with the lonely anbu, but I couldn't. Not right now. Not after my wife said she was pregnant with my baby.

"Lily-chan, it's better if you go home. You must be tired." I finally spoke. Avoiding eye contact with the anbu.

"Mommy why did you hit Lily-Chan?? Why does Lily-Chan have to leave?? She's like my older sister!!" My daughter screamed at her mother as she ran to hug the now crying lonely anbu.

"I'm sorry, Lily. I have to go," the anbu spoke as she broke free from my daughter's grip and ran out the door into the darkness of the night.
Shisui catching and holding back my crying daughter back who was trying to run out the door and go after the lonely anbu.

"Listen to me, sweetie. You cannot go anywhere near that woman, understood?" My wife warned my daughter as my eyes travelled outside the door. Hoping I'd see the lonely anbu again.
