Obito's POV
I followed Karin through the woods as I continued to feel the sensation of a pair of eyes watching me from the shadows.
Karin finally stopped walking and when my eye adjusted to the darkness, I felt sick to my stomach. Karin has brought me to the small house that my lonely anbu burned herself alive in.

"Karin what is the meaning of -" before I could even speak she interrupted me.

"She asked me to do this for her. And she's like a sister to me so I followed her wishes."

"Do what for her?" The wind began to whisper into my ears phrases that I couldn't understand.

"Bring you to her."

"What?? Is she here??" A body was never found, only ashes. Before I could rush inside, Karin stopped me.

"This is between me and you. Nobody can know. Not Sasuke or anyone. Please." Karin begged me. The wind blew again revealing her face. Her eyes red as if she'd been crying.

"So Sasuke doesn't know that she's still alive?" It was hard to believe. They told each other everything and were inseparable.
"Does Itachi know?"

She didn't say anything. I turned to look at her and her expression revealed everything. "Did she tell you to bring Itachi to her instead of me??"

"Yes Obito." And I didn't have to hear another word. I was already walking away from the house feeling angry.

"Don't leave please!" Karin ran in front of me as an attempt to stop me. "She wanted to see Itachi, but of course I only told you about her still being alive ! I won't tell Itachi about her still being alive....he hates her and would kill her at sight! I'm not delusional like her!"

I continued walking away. I didn't understand why I was so jealous of her feelings for Itachi. "I won't fall for her games and manipulation."

"It's not manipulation! She faked her death because Orochimaru-sama would kill her at sight! He sent her to get information.... Not to cause drama and bring attention to herself. He even cut off her tongue!"

"I can't believe you're encouraging the lonely anbu's actions," I began. "If Sasuke-kun knew about this-"

"Lonely anbu??!! Her real name is Valentina! I can't believe you refused to call her by her name after the relationship you had with her!" Karin yelled at me. "If Rin-chan knew about your infidelity, what would she do? I don't think she would be as forgiving as Lilian-chan was with Itachi-Kun." Karin threatened.

"Okay Karin, and what do you want me to do?? You want me to play along with her game?? Pretend I don't know anything about her despite you sharing her real identity days ago with the rest of us?"

Karin looked down and stayed quiet for a second. "Obito, I won't say anything to Rin. I just need one favor from you...."

"What?" I asked.

"I can't convince Valentina to leave this village to go hide in another. She doesn't care about getting killed, if she stays here. She told me she wants to die if Itachi won't be with her." She paused again. "Please convince her to leave. Maybe she'll listen to you."

"No." I quickly said. I thought she was dead, but now that I know that she's alive I won't leave her side. "She doesn't have to leave. She can stay here. I'll become hokage in a few days and I'll give her full pardon for her crimes."

"You really love her, don't you?" She asked.

I nodded. There was no use in hiding my feelings anymore.

"Oh how I wished that she had fallen in love with you instead of Itachi-kun." Karin signed.

I looked away feeling upset. I wished that too.

"She's pregnant and there's a possibility that it's Itachi's baby. Are you sure you will still give her full pardon?"

I looked away feeling upset. "Did she tell you that it was his?"

Karin stayed quiet. "She's so in love with Itachi that she would say it's his."

"I'll become hokage in a few days, and when that happens....I will pardon her. Even if the baby ends up being his." I finally said.

"Okay but in the meantime, she has to go hide in another village." Karin said. "Please, I don't want her to get killed."

"Where would she go?" I tried to hide emotion from my voice. I didn't want to leave Valentina's side

"Water village. I have some distant family there. Please convince her to go hide there while you become hokage . She'll be killed if she stays here."

"Okay. But as soon as I become hokage she needs to return here. I really do love her. I won't hurt her like Itachi did."

Karin nodded. "You might need this to talk to her." She handed me a notebook and a pen. "I need to leave before Sasuke finds out that I'm here. There's a boat by the river so that she can leave. Thank you, Obito-San." Karin smiled at me and ran.
Leaving me alone outside of the burned down house where my lover was hiding in.
