Jisoo's POV
Only a blind person would not notice how close Jennie and Taehyung are than they were before. Hindi na ako madalas nanghihingi ng update kay Tae kaya hindi ko na alam kung anong estado nila ngayon. The last time I heard, they talk constantly online. Madalas narin silang lumalabas ng magkasama o sabay na kumakain.
I don't know if he's already courting her o kung nagtapat na siya sa kanya. Friday pa kami huling nag-usap at Wednesday na ngayon. He did not even reply to the last message I sent him.
Monday just came and I got welcomed by a big surprise. Actually, pati si Lisa at Rosie ay nagulat sa pagiging malapit ng dalawa. It was odd because Jennie did not mention anything. Knowing her, she would've told us the details when things started getting interesting between them. But aside from telling us she thinks she's falling in love, hindi niya kailanman nasabi sa'min kung sino ito. Yet I know who it is... I'm just not ready to admit it myself.
"Alam mo Chi, akala ko talaga ikaw yung gusto ni Taehyung." Panimula ni Lisa na kakaupo lang sa upuan niya. "I guess I was wrong," she said, voice laced with disappointment. "Ang bruha wala man lang sinabi sa'tin."
Nagpatuloy ako sa pagkukunwaring may sinusulat. Naisipan naming tumambay nalang sa classroom para sa first afternoon subject namin dahil wala kaming magawa. Jennie's still not back yet and the lunch break is almost over. The inside of stomach churned at the thought of them eating out together, only the two of them. I've been feeling weird things for days now. Mga pakiramdam na ayokong pangalanan.
Hindi ko makuhang matuwa dahil tagumpay ang plano namin. I should treat it as an accomplishment dahil napaniwala namin hindi lang si Jennnie kundi pati si Rosie at Lisa. This is what we both wanted. Now that it's happening, I can't even make myself be happy for Taehyung.
"He's just a friend, that's all."
Binasag na ni Rosie ang pananahimik niya. "Did you perhaps developed feelings for him?"
Hindi pa man siya tapos magtanong ay umiling na ako. "No, there's nothing to worry about. Walang drama na mangyayari between me and Jen² kasi wala talagang namamagitan sa'min ni Tae. It was purely... business?" panlilinaw ko. That made them more confused. I gave both a smile and continued writing whatever this is.
"Sure? I thought I saw... something." Rosie whispered the last word.
"Same... parang may something special talaga," Lisa provided.
I wish I could tell them it wasn't true. That we're only pretending but I don't want to ruin it for Taehyung. Not now when he's finally getting her chance with his first ever crush.
"Trust me, wala talaga."
It's what I like to believe, at least.
