NEW YORK, AUGUST 2016

I woke up to a phone ringing in the distance, one of Hydra's minions Brock Rumlow barked into the phone.

As he ended the call, he entered my room.
”Yo, viper” he spat. Red viper… not everyone got a nickname after completing their training, but for the ones that did, it stuck.

"The boss has a mission for you. He wouldn't tell me what you you have to get your cute ass up and find out yourself." he said while looking at me, the disgusting look of lust on his face.
I wanted to kill him. Ever since I was taken out of cryogenic prison a few days ago he's been flirting with me, knowing that I could kill him in seconds but I wouldn't do it because if I did I would go back on ice.

"Fuck off, Rumlow." I said as I sauntered out of my room. All I could hear was his laugh.

Alexander Pierce was waiting for me outside his mansion as I parked my motorcycle in his luxurious driveway.  The man wore a three piece cream coloured suit, his brittle hair blowing in the cold autumn wind.

He was the man behind everything.

I took off my helmet and made my way to Pierce.
He smiled.

"Pierce, you have a mission for me ?" I asked, my tone brass. I couldn't stand this man. His small eyes looked at me as he cleared his throat. " Good to see you all thawed up, viper. Let's go inside and we can have a cup of tea or something stronger if you'd like." I followed him inside.

We sat down at his office and he offered me a glass of whiskey.

"Viper, I need you to find someone for me." He said, handing me the heavy glass with honey coloured liquid.
"He was one of Hydra's best men, unfortunately he went missing in action. We need him back and since you are the best we have, you are gonna help us find James Buchanan Barnes, he's nicknamed the Winter Soldier."  Pierce said as he gulped down the rest of the expensive whiskey.

There's more out there like me ? And if so how did he manage to hide from Hydra ?

Ocean blue eyes full of pain...

"Go back to Rumlow, he has all the intel on Barnes. And Viper ?" he looked at me like he was about to lecture me.
"We need him alive."

Back at the headquarters, I shed myself of my motorcycle gear and put it back all neatly in my closet. As Hydra's most precious asset, I had the biggest room. I decorated as much as I could. Rumlow always joked that it was too girly for a killer.
Did I mention that I want to kill him ?

I grabbed the manila envelope from my nightstand. All it contained was the guy's name, his last location and a blurry picture from a surveillance camera.
It's gonna be like looking for a needle in a pile of hay but instead of a needle, it's a metal arm.
