Later that day..

Tony had of course planned a surprise party for Steve and Nat, his countryside home turned into a club for the night. Fairy lights illuminating the room, light bulbs hanging from the ceiling, shining warm light. People were sitting in groups, talking over the music that was playing mellow in the background. Nat and Steve were mingling with their guests, hugs and congratulations were exchanged. James was talking to Barton at the bar.

Wanda was approaching me wearing a beautiful dark red a-line dress, her gingery hair artfully curled and pinned, soft, curly tendrils framing her delicate face.

"Darling, you look amazing." She said to me, her green eyes kind and warm.

"Thank you, you here with Vis ? I haven't seen him yet." I said searching the room for the red android.

"He's over there with my brother, or at least he was." Wanda said, pointing towards Vision who was now talking to Nick Fury.

"Where is my brother ?" She absent-mindedly twisted a strand of hair on her finger.

I told her that I would catch up with her later and made my way to the bar.

Although I loved seeing my friends all happy, I felt tired. Ever since leaving Romania or even there really, James and I never really had peace. The compound was always bustling with people, then I got kidnapped by Pierce and was in a coma for a week and then Steven and Natasha got engaged and James got Alpine. I felt like I couldn't take a breather for a second.

I felt overwhelmed.

I decided to take a few minutes to myself and went to one of the bedrooms in the back of the hallway.

I laid down on the fluffy comforter on the king size bed, framed by dark cherry wood.

It didn't stay quiet for long I heard moans from coming from the room next door. Great, so much for peace and quiet.

Thanks to the serum my hearing, along with all the other senses was extremely heightened and I could distinctly tell who was getting railed next door.

Sounds like they were having fun.

I pulled a pillow over my head, trying to drown out the sounds, unsuccessfully though.

A quick knock on the door announced James coming into the room, his face marred with a slight look of disgust as he heard what was going on in the room next door.

"Baby, is everything okay?" he asked as he was slowly approaching me.

"I just needed to take a breath for a second. I feel like our lives have been a non-stop roller coaster since getting the serum, I feel like I can't enjoy my life now that I'm free, I can't enjoy my time with you, James." I sighed.

"Angel, we have all the time in the world. If you want we can move out here if the compound is too packed for you, which I totally understand that crazy bunch of super heroes can be a lot. All that matters is that you are happy, okay ?" he approached me slowly, sweeping a stray curl off my face, his ocean blue eyes, full of love.

I pulled him down by his tie to kiss him. The moment my lips touched his, I couldn't stop. It was like fire meeting gasoline.
My hands found the buttons of his dress shirt and one by one, without breaking the kiss I opened the shirt, revealing his  muscular, tanned torso.

Roaming over his hard pecs and valley of abs until my hands landed on his belt buckle.

"Are you sure you wanna do this here, doll ?" James said in between kisses.
