Part 1: Chapter 34

"Abbigal?" Began Ria
Abbigal glanced at Ria "yeah?"
"What happened to you? You and Vulcannus just vanished"
"We were forced to leave are dimensions. I have returned once to the End but it is filled with the Netharin"
Ria sighed "this war, it is just starting. I never thought I would have to fight again"
"Yes; but this has brought about one good thing"
"What?"
"I has aloud Vulcannus and I to spend more time together"
"So you two really like each other?"
Abbigal went bright pink "not a word Ria; if I get teased by anyone I'll die"
"It can't be that bad"
"I wonder if he's going to be ok"
"From what I've heard Keira is an excellent healer"
"But is she good enough?"
"I'd expect so. Anyways I'm going to go check up on her"
Abbigal watched as Ria walked into the hut that housed Vulcannus
Once Ria entered the hut she was greeted by a rather grumpy Xaria
"Hi" Whispered Ria "how's Vulcannus?"
Xaria grunted in annoyance before answering "fine, just fine"
"And Keira?"
"How would I know?!"
Ria rolled her eyes "and you?"
"Just peachy"
"Where are they?"
"Don't know, don't care"
"Right. Never mind, Keira's with Intwin and Vul..."
"What?! Why?!"
"Maybe she was mad at you for being grumpy"
"I'm not being grumpy! You are! When I find that devil I'm going to k..."
"Calm down, I was joking. I have absolutely no clue where they are"
"Well thanks for getting my hopes up about killing him" Growled Xaria
"You're so messed up"
"Good. When you find Keira tell her I'm looking for her"

"Come on Keira, Abbigail will have my head if she finds out I am wandering around after I nearly died" groaned Vulcannus
Keira giggled "yes, but I couldn't risk her walking in on us while I'm busy convincing you"
"Convincing me to do what?"
"Ask her to marry you"
"What?!! I cannot do that. I may like her but marry? We have hardly known each other for ten years"
"And to think most people get married after a year"
"You clearly have never seen a Netharin couple after ten years. Disastrous is the only way to describe it"
Keira giggled again and sat down on the ground "fine ask her to go on a date with you"
"That is almost worse!"
"Come on. It's only one date"
"I...I...cannot, Luna will kill me"
Keira grinned "I thought you might refuse; so I enlisted Virdencens help"
Virdencen approached meekly
"Uhh...hi Vulcannus" mumbled Virdencen
"Traitor" groaned Vulcannus "why?"
"Keira can be very persuasive. That and I could not pass up on the chance to make you do something with Abbi. She really likes you"
"Likely story"
"She told me last night she really wished you would do something special with her"
"So?"
"Just go on one date with her. If you do I will never ask you to do it again"
"Fine"
"Good. If she comes back in anything less then a perfect mood I will set Luna on you"
"What?!"

"Just do it" hissed Virdencen as she pushed Vulcannus towards Abbigail
"I do not think I can" whimpered Vulcannus
"If do not right now I will go find Luna"
"I am going"
Vulcannus slowly made his way towards Abbigail who was busy harvesting some sugarcane
"Uhh...Queen Abbigail" whispered Vulcannus
Abbigail looked up from her work "yes?"
"Well I was...uhh...do you think perhaps...maybe you might...want to...would you maybe...never mind"
"Are you ok Vulcannus?" Asked Abbigail
"No"
"What's wrong?!"
"Centurn is trying to force me to do something I am incapable of doing"
"What?"
"She believes it is in my best interest...to...uhh...ask you if you...maybe would...perhaps allow me to...uhh...ask you if might want to...uhh...accompany me..."
Virdencen sighed and chuckled lightly before walking towards Vulcannus and Abbigail "do not mind Vulcannus, he is just a coward"
Abbigail looked at Virdencen with confusion "a coward?"
"He was supposed to come over here and ask you if you desired to accompany him on a date but as you can clearly see he has not"
"Vulcannus?"
Vulcannus smiled sheepishly "if you do not want to...I mean you do not...do you want to?"
Abbigail hugged Vulcannus "I'd love to! When can we?!"
"Tonight" announced Keira "which mean Abbi you need to get dressed"
"She does?" Croaked Vulcannus "why?"
Keira giggled and patted Vulcannus' shoulder "figure it out"

Virdencen leaned against the door jam quietly watching Vulcannus and Abbigail. Keira had managed to get everyone to leave them alone for the entire evening; which was good, if anyone heard Vulcannus' attempts to talk they would have thought he was crazy. In the few hours they had been together, he had spiraled into a complete nervous wreck. He was so disconcerted he could not even operate like a normal human...or Netharin, given the fact he dropped almost everything he picked up at least ten times and he had yet to utter one complete sentence
"So Vulcannus" began Abbigail "do you want to go on a dragon ride with me?"
Virdencen leaned closer; maybe Vulcannus would be able to answer Abbigail properly
"A dragon?!" Vulcannus squeaked "like Luna?!"
"Yeah, do you have a problem with that?" Whispered Abbigail
"Well...uhh...maybe...no...yes?"
"Are you ok?"
"No...yes...uhh..."
"Uhh what? Vulcannus are you sure nothing is wrong?"
"I am...uhh...fine...maybe"
Virdencen grinned as she knew exactly what was wrong with Vulcannus. She and Keira had in many different ways had threatened him
Abbigail stood up and began dragging him outside "maybe some fresh air will help your mental health"
"Uhh...what mental health? I am completely fine" objected Vulcannus

Abbigail smiled as the wind tossed her black hair. She had finally persuaded Vulcannus to mounting Luna and they flew in relative peace till for a few minutes
"Hey Vulcannus" whispered Abbigail
"Yeah?" Answered Vulcannus
"What is wrong? You aren't exactly acting right"
"...uhh...I think...uhh...I...uhh...might like you...uhh...and...and...Centurn..."
"What did Virdy do?"
"She...uhh...said...uhh...and...uhh..."
"Hug me Vulcannus"
"What?!"
"Hug me"
"Ok?"
Vulcannus nervously wrapped his arms around Abbigails waist. As he did Luna dove downwards till they were but two feet above the ground, then banked to the left sharply causing Abbigail and Vulcannus to fall off
"Luna!" Shouted Abbigail "we could've got hurt!"
Luna rolled her eyes and swiped her tail at Vulcannus, before flying off
"Luna come back here! I am not going to walk home thought a dark a scary forest!" Shrieked Abbigail
Vulcannus nervously laid his hand on Abbigails shoulder "I do not thing she is going to returne for us"
"So now you can talk"
"Uhh...so?"
"So?!"
Vulcannus shrugged "we should probably head back now"
They walked in silence for a few minutes before Abbigail shoved Vulcannus playfully. Vulcannus stumbled into a small pile of leaves
"Hey!" Shouted Vulcannus
Abbigail giggled quietly
"What was that for?"
Abbigail giggled again "oh Vulcannus, I'm so glad you're ok"
"As am I"
"But on a less happier note. The little dragon, the one you..."
"No"
"Please, it needs a home"
"It will try to kill me"
"No it won't, it is very sick"
"So?"
"Enderdragons cannot survive without a guardian"
"So? You take it"
"It has bonded to you. It can't bond to anyone else until you die"
Abbigail gestured down at the ground. The little dragon waddled towards Vulcannus
"You took it with you?!" Shouted Vulcannus
"It was the safest option. Decon is a complete idiot, Sparks is an emotionally unstable teenager, and well, Will is Will"
The dragon slowly began climbing up Vulcannus' leg
"And admit it, it is really cute" muttered Abbigail
"Fine, it is kind of cute"
"Good then take it"
"Maybe if you kiss me"
Abbigail looked at Vulcannus incredulously "is that all that it takes to do anything?"
"So?"
"If I had known that sooner I might have been able to get you to give me the Nether"
"Not likely"
"Please"
Vulcannus shrugged and wrapped his arms around Abbigail's waist "I do not want the responsibility of having to take care of a living creature"
"What about me?"
"You malady are the only exception...well you and Centurn"
"What is between you two anyways? It almost looks like you ar..."
"Do not finish that sentence. She is like a sister to me"

"Oh good, I thought I might have to play the part of the jealous girlfriend"

"thankfully no. She is more attached to me because I was the only one who comforted her after the death of her mate"
