ABC did a combination of live and animation of the Little Mermaid and they did a good job. We were watching this like the movie and then when they are doing the songs they will go to the real people. They did this in 2019 before Disney+ launch. This was because for the exciting upcoming life action The Little Mermaid that will have John Stamos as the chief. He's the chief in this as well and he did a great job. Because of the Pandemic the production of the Life Action Little Mermaid has been delayed so I don't know when it will finally be release. It was suppose to come out this year but I haven't heard much about it for a while. The actress that was Moana was Ariel in this version. Someone else will be her in the life action one but honestly if I could choose the actress to be Ariel I would choose either Auli'i Cravalho or Ariana Grande. I was really impressed with the Poor Unfortunate Souls performance and the extra dialogue between Arial and Ursula.
This was another great performance because Arial actually interacted and sing along. Instead of in the movie being bored with Sabastian performance and swimming away.
This is the first look of the life action. Now I'll be honest when I first heard who will be playing Arial I wasn't sure of the idea. I had gotten some hate about it when I shared my opinion on it when it first came out making me feel like I was being racist because I didn't like this actress to play Arial. I know Halle Bailey from the Blackish spin of series Grownish as one of the twins. She also sang with her twin sister that song from a Wrinkle in Time. So I know she can sing and I liked her from grownish but I just wasn't sure at the time when I first heard that she would be Arial. I was more expecting that Ariana Grande would do it because she already have red hair and I love her singing voice. I know the origins of The Little Mermaid is in Denmark so I was hoping for them to cast that character to look more like the original. Now that I have seen this first look my opinion have changed a little. I'll still go see it whenever it is finally release because you can't judge a book by it's cover. Hopefully the Life Action would be just as good if not better then the original. I always look for any gaps they try to fill that might have not make any sense with the original, any new songs, and if they did a good job with casting the actors. It have been a long wait and hopefully we will finally get this soon.
I thought Ariana Grande did this but I guess I was wrong. Carly Rae Jepson would be a good Arial too. I try to be open minded though when it comes to see a new Disney movie in life action with the cast and everything.

She looks good. It does get me even more excited to see her as Arial after seeing that image. I know when it comes to changing ones hair color whether it's dye it or a wig skin color and eye color does matter. Like my mom told me I wouldn't look good with black hair because of my skin tone and my eye color. My mom actually dyed her hair black when she was a teenager and it didn't look good on her. And we have seen people that dyed their hair and sometimes it does look good and other times it doesn't. Sometimes you have to see it when you can't imagine it on your own.
