This is the only High School Musical movie that wasn't a DCOM. It actually went to theaters. I do remember going to see it in the theater when it came out. This is my favorite high school Musical movie. I wish I had my senior prom like what they had. This was my fantasy. Everyone has them. I wanted to go to Prom with Said but I went with Edgar instead. I still had a good time though. I love the songs in this and I am glad that Troy choose both Basketball and Theater and to go to the University of California in Berkley which is closed to Standford which is where Gabriella is going.

After High School Musical, Disney keep trying to redo it but you can't always redo something that was great. Usually anything that comes after the original series isn't as good. They have done this with Descendants and Zumbies. Descendants had three movies and Zumbies will be having a third movie soon. But with Descendants at least Kenny Ortaga who directed and choregraph High School Musical also did Descendants so Descendants had that. I feel like Descendants does come close to High School Musical.

Now another set of movies I have watched is To all the boys and I have just watched it's third and last movie. I feel like this is a non-disney movie series that can make you think of high school musical a little bit but there is still no comparison. I liked the last movie but I felt like it was too typical. The guy decided that they will make the long distance relationship work even though he is going to Standford which is in California and she is going to NYU which is in New York City. We are meant to believe with that kind of long distance relationship they will make it work for four years and still be together? Yeah right. I was in a long distance relationship before and it was still in the same state but it didn't work. Not realistic. At least Troy and Gabriella will be going to college in the same state.

I have heard of a criticism about Ryan. There are people that are upset that they put Ryan and Chelsey together in the last movie because in the past two movies he was suppose to be gay. Now I have always liked his character and I do like him with Chelsey. When I heard about this it got me thinking and I do see their side but at the same time why do a guy have to be gay because they like pink and theater? That I don't understand. While I think it would have been amazing if they did have his character to be gay who their ships are doesn't add or take away from the story. It's not really about the ships. The only ship that is at center stage is Troy and Gabriella. Also I read somewhere that Pink used to be for boys and blue used to be for girls but somewhere down the road they switched. In all honestly wht your favorite color is shouldn't matter and what you are into shouldn't matter. Also thinking about Disney, they were probably not ready to push that envelop yet and it had to take them a while until Andi Mack in order to do so to ease their audience into it. I'm proud for how far Disney have come to be more inclusive and diverse and I am sure they will continue.

I feel like there is a little bit of Sharpay in all of us. I am more like Gabriella. I am smart and sweet and just want to have fun on stage but deep down I want to take center stage and have the audience on me. I am a mixture of Gabriella and Sharpay.

We are all in this together! Let's go wild cats!
