She's a bad ass. She's a warrior and I want to be her. I was excited when they decided to do a life action of Mulan. I actually have read the balled this came from when I was at Quinsiquimond in the library. It was a children's book. I heard that for this they were going to follow the original story and it will be different then the original animation. That got me excited and I was glad I read it. Loyal, Brave, and True.
I love that there was a narrator and we saw Mulan as a little girl. We get to see how she is different then everyone else and that she has chi which is "energy" in Chinese. The buildings look like the pictures in the balled which means that would be historically accurate. There was no songs like in the animation one but I heard some of the music from those songs throughout on certain scenes like "Reflection."There was a witch in this version and instead of Mushu there was a Pheonix watching over Mulan. Mulan of course disguise herself as a man to fight in her father's place but then the witch made her to realized she won't ever truly release her chi unless she is herself. So she took off her disguise and fight as a woman. Everyone found out that she is a woman and kicked her own but Mulan came back to worn them. They choose to trust her and Mulan saved China. It was obvious that one of her soldiers liked her and she liked him but they didn't make it as the point in the story like they did in the original movie which I also liked. After when she returned to her family the general came to visit her and granted her as a soldier. Making her family proud. I thought it was great. I wish it didn't have to cost money but they had to because it couldn't be release to theaters due to the virus.
