CORDEL
Cordel lay quietly in his bed, his arm behind his head as he thought about Katara. He couldn't help but think that something was wrong. He always seemed to know when something was wrong with his sister. He knew when she was in trouble before he even got that call. This felling was a little different though. The feeling that something really bad had happened. The feeling that said that Katara was in more danger than she had ever been in
The feeling that said that she wasn't home anymore, but she wasn't just hiding.
Cordel sighed and Tonya moved beside him. She ran her hand over his chest and he took her hand as she looked at him. Her green eyes spoke the words that she was thinking. She knew what he was thinking and she was worried about him. She watched him closely as she spoke.
"Dell?" she whispered and touched his cheek with their hands. "Do you want to call Justin and make sure that she is okay?" he nodded and she sat up. She grabbed the phone as he sat up and she handed it to him. He started to dial Justin's number when something broke a few rooms down. Cordel tensed and looked at Tonya. She moved closer to him, but he had stood and was already moving toward the door. "Dell-"
"Dad!" they heard Danial yell from behind the door. Cordel opened it and ran into the hall, where he almost ran into his son. Before he could even ask, Danial was already speaking. "Dad, they have Katara." he said. "Sam just called me and told me that he watched two guys carry her out of the park in town, and threw her into a black van about ten minutes ago."
"Are we sure it was Katara?" Cordel breathed shakily. He couldn't believe that they had actually found her. She was way too careful for that. She couldn't be that easily caught. He had to know that it was really his sister before he started freaking out. "Danial. Did he say anything about the guys that carried her out? Did he really see her?"
"One of them was really big." the voice came from the phone in Danial's hand. Cordel hadn't even noticed the phone. "He looked sort of like Corri, but I only saw him at a distance, so I am not sure if-"
"Corri's dead." Danial said slowly. "Why would he be kidnapping her?"
"I don't know man." Sam answered. "but the other guy was a white blond. He wasn't as big, but he was a pretty big size."
"Max." Cordel breathed. That was the only person he'd ever known that had white blond hair. That wasn't good. Max could track anyone and anything. He would have killed her though, if that was what he was supposed to do. If he wasn't supposed to kill her then what was going on, because he knew that Jordan wouldn't just give an order to kidnap Cordel's sister, unless he had something planned. What did he have planned? was the question.
"Was it really her?" Cordel breathed a shaky breath. He really hoped it wasn't and that she was okay. "Let me call Justin." Cordel lifted his phone and dialed Justin's number.
"What's up man?" Justin answered after a minute. His voice was full of sleep. "It's almost two in the morning."
"Is Katara there?" Cordel asked.
"She's probably asleep, but I'll go check if you want me to."
"Please."
"What's going on?" Justin asked.
"One of Danial's friends just called him and told him that two guys just carried Katara out of the park and threw her into a black van." there was a pause on the other end, then Cordel could hear a frantic movement. Justin must have been running.
Please be there Katara. Cordel thought. Please just be in bed and he wakes you up. Please just don't be out there and just be safe. Don't be the one that they got.
