I lay down on the table and looked up at the man in the white coat. He scared me worse than the man that had brought me here. I used to like coming. I used to want to come, but now, after I had been hurt by those injections, I didn't want to do them. I was scared that they would hurt me again.
Now there was a new man in the white coat. He was older and scarier. I didn't like him one bit and he hadn't even spoken to me. The last one was nice. He would talk to me and then he would give me candy when we were done, but this one... I already knew that he was mean.
"Tilt your head." he said in a voice that made me cold. I shook and closed my eyes. I didn't move. I didn't want to. I was so scared. He grabbed my face and tilted my head for me, then stuck the needle in my neck without warning, like the other one had. I whimpered and squeezed my eyes shut. I could feel it in me. I could feel the stuff start to go trough me and I didn't like it. It didn't hurt like last time, I just didn't want to do it.
"I want my momma." I cried when he let go of my face. "I'm scared."
"You'll be okay Baby." Ms. Kelly whispered and I opened my eyes. She stoked my hair and sat in the chair beside me. She took my hand and kissed the jagged cut on my palm. "I'll be with you every step of the way." she traced my wrist and rubbed my arm when I shivered. "Just close your eyes and dream." slowly, I closed my eyes and even slower, I fell asleep.
