JONATHAN

Jonathan looked back at Katara again. She was sitting in her chair again and his dad was gone. He clenched his jaw and sighed. How could she keep something like that away from him? How could she keep the fact that his father was still alive from him? He thought that they were closer than that.

Jonathan looked at her small pale face. She really didn't like this. She was really scared of planes. He'd seen her react to the change of altitude of the plane. She had felt it. She'd even heard the frantic tone of the pilot. He'd seen her reaction to that too. She was so scared that it was making her sick. Jonathan may be angry with her, but he also felt sorry for her, because of the fear.

"She doesn't look too good." Max said. "She almost looks... dead." this didn't help with the worry that Jonathan was feeling. "I'm going to go talk to her."

"I'll do it." Jonathan said. "I need to talk to her anyway."

"We'll both go." Jonathan nodded without even looking back at him they both stood and the flight attendant didn't look to pleased with it. They ignored her and went and sat next to Katara. "Katara?" she didn't move, her eyes stayed closed and her breathing slow. "Katara? Are you okay?" she opened her eyes and looked at Jonathan. Those eyes looked so vacant, so lost... so... zombiefied. She looked almost like a zombie, minus the decaying flesh and bad odder. It was like Katara, wasn't even there anymore.

"Katara?" he breathed and touched her cheek. She grabbed his wrist and then she gasped as soon as the plane touched ground. She looked at Jonathan and then Max. She breathed hard and looked around and then let go of Jonathan's wrist.

"D-did I just black out again?" she whispered.

"I-I think so." Max answered. "But it's okay. We are on the ground. You don't have to be scared anymore." she nodded and looked at Jonathan.

"Jon-"

"Don't Katara." he said and just stood. After seeing that, he didn't know if he could talk to her. She had kept a very big secret from him. He didn't think that he could forgive that.

"Jonathan, please-"

"No." he said and stood as others began to. She did too, and Max followed. Jessie came from the cockpit and looked at Katara, as Jonathan just got off the plane.

"Jonathan. Will you please listen to me?" she grabbed his arm and turned him around. They were on the loading dock now. She had tears in her eyes. "I feel like I am losing you Jonathan and I don't want to do that. Please, just listen-"

"You lost me, the moment I saw you talking to my father." he said angrily and pulled away. He stepped back at his own words. Of course he didn't mean them, but it was out, and there was so much hurt coming from her. His words had hurt her.

"I'm sorry." she whispered and backed away. Tears ran down her face as she backed into Max. she jumped and looked at him and then back at Jonathan. "I-I didn't know that this would happen." she cried and then she just started running. Max watched her go and then looked at Jonathan.

"She didn't know Jon." Max whispered as Jessie and Nick went after her. "They'd met before, but she didn't know that he was your father. He was just a messenger."

"Leave me alone!" Jonathan looked toward where Katara was with her brothers. "Just leave me alone." she was crying and when she looked over at Jonathan, so much pain in those eyes, she just started to run again. At least she tried. Jessie grabbed her and pulled her into his arms. She just stopped fighting and wrapped her arms around his waist. What had Jonathan done to her?
