"OUR SECRET MEETING PLACES NEED TO BE BETTER, BECAUSE WE HAVE GONE FROM A CREEPY OLD GREENHOUSE TO THE GIRLS BATHROOM."
Valerie hesitantly pushed open the stall door once they were given the all-clear by Emily who was standing by the sink in the girls bathroom. Having to wait in a public toilet stall for everyone who wasn't them to disperse, and the smell that came being stuck in a small enclosed space that had no proper ventilation, was not an experience she wanted to live through again.
"I agree we need to find somewhere preferably with a fan." Aria exclaimed, as she turned her nose up at the stink emanating from her stall as she looked back at it.
"Good luck, why don't we dig a tunnel under the school." Emily said sarcastically, shaking her head at her friend.
Valerie playfully rolled her eyes. "To much manual labor."
"Not with those hands." Hanna muttered, earning a playful shoved from Valerie. "It's not meant as an insult just a helpful suggestion. You need some serious moisturizer."
Hanna began to rummage through her oversized purse, girls all looking at each other at the amount of noise that emanated from the bag. Valerie sighed exasperatedly at the Marin girl, turning to look at Spencer who seemed to be intently reading over Emily's letter of recommendation from the college swim scout.
"This letter isn't that bad, Emily." Spencer comforted the tan girl, as she took the letter back and then folded it up again.
Emily shook her head. "It's bad."
"Won't your mom be impressed this guy even took the time to write?" Valerie asked, trying to make her friend find the positive in the situation.
"Here, use this." Hanna butted in not actually paying attention to the conversation, as she handed a silver tube of moisturizer to the Fields girl. "It cost more than my purse."
"Guys, it's a maybe letter. My mom needs to see something real, something that says Let her stay in Rosewood. We want her. Don't take her to Texas." Emily said with a sad smile as she squeezed a small amount of moisturizer on her hand.
"There are other colleges." Aria suggested as she tried to comfort Emily.
"You are the best swimmer in this school, hell the state." Valerie said, as she attempted to fix her hair in her reflection. "Other scouts will want you, Em."
