SOME MIGHT CONSIDER VALERIE A BAD EMPLOYEE FOR THE SIMPLE FACT THAT WHEN ONE OF HER FRIEND ENTERED THE CAFÉ SHE STOPPED WORKING. Though in Valerie mind she was still one of the best employees because Riley had the habit of cancelling his shifts as 3 times week and Asher who'd make eye contact with customers asking for refills and stroll past them, Valerie taking a break during a busy shift was swept under the rug.

"Good morning, my favorite customers." Valerie greeted, setting down a variety of mugs before filling them nearly to the brim with coffee.

"Why are you in such a good mood?" Emily questioned with a raised brow, as they all slide into their signature booth.

"Don't question, just accept." Hanna said quickly, as she brought the mug up to her lips.

The five girls all let out a small laugh as Valerie sat on the outside after bringing over a plate of biscotti for them. The conversation steered towards the case that was police of actively building against Spencer, it was obvious to the girls that Spencer was starting grow scared that her future would merely consist of a 4-by-4 cell.

During a recent forensics' examination, it was discovered that Spencer bracelet contained fibers from the sweater that Alison had been wearing that fateful night. The irony came when it was same bracelet that Alison had gifted to each one of the liars.

"Someone is working overtime to make you look guilty Spence." Valerie commented gently, she could see the undeniable fear in the Hasting's girls' eyes and Valerie pushed the plate of biscotti towards her.

"Do you think somebody rubbed that sweater on your bracelet?" Aria asked curiously as she kept warm coffee mug laced within her hand.

"Somebody? Try Ian." Emily snapped with a small scoff, then turned to Spencer with a sympathetic expression. "He's doing everything he can to make you look guilty. Your parents should hire you a 24-hour bodyguard."

Valerie stayed silent for a moment because she didn't feel convinced that it could all be linked back to one person, a person that seemed so obvious. She glanced at Hanna who was staring absentmindedly as the mural that covered wall across from her. "What about Jenna? What if she paid Caleb to get that bracelet, then -"

"When was Caleb in Spencer's house?" Emily asked looking at the girls with a look of confusion laced on her features.

"He doesn't need an invitation, Em. He broke into a vending machine with a spork." Aria rolled her eyes as she spoke up in defense of her friend's theory.
