The blonde girl usually didn't mind school, but this morning she had an unknown hatred towards it with no reason as to why. As she brushed her teeth and looked through her bag, her eyes automatically hovered up to her open balcony doors to see Sam reading on his bed.
Who reads before school? She thought to herself and walked to her ensuite to spit the toothpaste out, rinsing everything off and cleaning herself up before leaving the room to see Sam stood at the balcony.
Stella raised a brow, "Samuel,"
"Stella." He nodded towards her, "You need a lift to school?" He asked, looking down to his car as she hesitated, finally shaking her head.
"No, my dads gonna take me." She shrugged. The brunette boy nodded, "You wanna lift with us?" She questioned.
Sam's lips creased into a thin line until he nodded, all so suddenly leaving his balcony and jumping onto hers as she gasped. "Sam you idiot!" She shook her head whilst he pulled himself over. "Come on." She rolled her eyes and grabbed her bag as he snickered.
The car ride to school was silent for Stella as Sam occasionally spoke to Marco, the older man annoyed with his daughter for sneaking away last night and arriving home late without any word. Marco pulled up outside, looking to his daughter who was staring at her three best friends.
"I'll be waiting outside after -" Marco began but Stella grabbed her bag and was already leaving the car, rushing to make her way to Kiara, Pope and JJ as she joined their side and stared down at the John B memorial. "I thought it was going to be different this time." Marco sighed to Sam.
The brunette boy was staring to the four teenagers, "Stella lost her best friend and rather than grieving with the Pogues she was forced to go to Europe," Sam whispered. "Thanks for the lift, Mr Carter." Sam finished before exiting the car and entering school.
"Hey," Stella whispered to them all, standing between Kiara and Pope before turning to the boy, "Did you uh... did you know that blueberry juice boosts memory," She whispered and looked back at the memorial, her voice becoming loose and shaky.
Pope furrowed his brows as Kiara pulled her in, "I didn't," Pope admitted and reached for her hand; sure that the first breaking point the three experienced was at the beginning of the Summer but yet here Stella was, realising John B was truly gone.
The blonde girl stared down at the memorial, taking her phone from her bag and removing the case until she took hold of the polaroid of the Pogues and propped it up against something that was already stuck up, ensuring it would stay before kissing the item.
