🌊🏄🏻♀️🗺💋━ you're peer-pressuring"𝒲HERE'S my daughter, Shoupe?" Marco got out of his car, flashing blue and red lights invading his eyes when suddenly he watched as Stella walked towards him, her arm around JJ for support as the older Carter widened his eyes at the sight of his daughter; the black, blue and blood covering her knees and legs, the running mascara from her ears. "Stella," He whispered, jolting forward and hugging her as she began to cry again.
"Dad," She tried to speak, her voice shaky whilst she finally broke down completely. Stella began to sob, holding her father tightly and burying her head into her shoulder.
As the teenagers had awaited for the police to arrive, Stella had finally taken in the second murder she'd witnessed by the Cameron's. The first time being their Sherrif, and now one of her fathers best friends, someone she used to see often.
Marco looked to JJ who was frowning, his brows furrowed to the younger boy who looked away. "Marco, take your kid home, I think these kids are a bit tired and I suggest Stella gets an early night... we'll speak in the morning," Shoupe suggested with a small smile as Marco nodded.
"Wait - " Stella sobbed, pulling away and wiping her face, "Can we give them a lift... please, Dad," She turned to her friends who appeared to be less upset, but rather angry because Shoupe didn't believe them once again.
The older Carter sighed before giving a nod, "Hop in, kids,"
"Mr Carter, me and Pope can take my car, don't worry about it... my parents won't be happy if I just disband the car," Kiara interferred as the older man's lips parted before he shared a nod, the girl approaching Stella whilst she pulled her into a hug. "I love you," She muttered into Stella's ear.
"I love you, Ki," Stella tried to calm down her breathing, kissing Kiara's cheek and pulling away before waving goodbye to Pope and nodding JJ towards their car.
As Stella got into the front seat, and JJ in the back, a silence was left lingering inside of the car as Marco occasionally looked to his daughter and JJ. "I know, you want to avenge John B... but what you kids are doing, it's gonna end up badly," Marco sighed.
"You only don't believe John B's innocent because Ward's your best friend," Stella whispered, looking out the window with a frown.
Marco creased his lips into a thin line, "John B was a good kid, Stell. You know I liked him, always have, always would've. I don't think he killed Sheriff Peterkin but, it's hard, alright? I mean, imagine someone accusing JJ... who would you believe?"
"JJ," She said without waiting for a pause, the blonde boy smiling slightly, "I'd pick JJ every time because he's my real best friend, Dad. I know him, and I know he wouldn't ever do such a thing. Just like I knew John B. Just like I know Rafe and Ward." She reprimanded her father. "Gavin died tonight." She muttered as the man grew pale, "I know, Ward killed him, we saw it. Just like we saw the first time,"
"Stell - "
"She's right, Mr. Carter." JJ cut the man off as Marco gulped, "Sorry for your loss."
Marco inhaled a deep breathe through his nose, taking one last glance to his daughter as she continued to cry - only this time silently. "JJ, you home alone tonight?" Marco knew he was gonna regret asking.
"Yes, Sir." JJ nodded, "Unless you're uh, gonna call the police then no - "
Stella managed to crack an amused breathe as Marco snorted, "You can stay with us then, Kid, for as long as you need. Tonight you can sleep on the sofa but tomorrow we'll move you into the Summer House until whenever you need."
Both the teenagers turned to Marco with shocked expressions as they pulled up upon the girls drive. "Just, keep the door open, for the sake of your poor, old Dad," He turned to Stella as she smiled and nodded, hugging the man.
Marco hugged his daughter back before getting out the car, JJ exiting next as he opened Stella's door. "Thanks," She smiled and pushed herself out, "You're gonna need blankets from my room," She added, turning to her Dad who had just gone into the house, "Or you can just sleep in my room." She whispered.
JJ raised a brow as his jaw dropped, "I don't - I don't want your dad to kill me."
Stella scoffed, "You're friend zoning me," She sounded dramatically offended, "No, you know what it's cool, you're scared, it's cute," She continued to taunt him as JJ chuckled and shook his head. "Sleep on the sofa," She shrugged and walked towards her house.
"You're peer-pressuring," He teased, following after her as she sarcastically laughed, ("Oh, am I?") She spoke over him. "Yeah, either that or you're admitting you're desperate for this, Stell," He added as she scoffed.
"God, don't you just wish I was," She scrunched her nose up to him, finally meeting the top of the stairs and turning to see her Dad's light already off. "Here are some blankets," She spoke extra loud before yanking him into her room and shutting the door.
The two were stood in a pitch black room, their bodies held together by her hands as she naturally pushed them against the back of the door.
Stella could feel his heart beat against her chest, abnormally out of average pace when suddenly he picked up his breathing. "You still get butterflies?..." She raised a brow, looking up as she raised upon her tip toes slightly.
Although her room was dark, he could still make up her frame, eyes, lips, nose... lips. "I get more than butterflies," He whispered, his breathe hot against her cheek.
"Why do we know, but act like we don't?" She lowered herself, looking away for a second before glancing back. "Why do you keep trying to deny it," She muttered.
"Stella you're flauntless... i'm flawed. I'm less but you give me more. But now with time, I find you on my mind and perhaps I lov -"
The boy was interrupted by the sound of tapping on Stella's balcony doors, the two snapping their heads back. "Is that -"
"-Sam."
JJ stuck his middle finger up behind the girls back towards the other balcony, screaming without noise. "I'll make it quick," She promised, turning to her door and opening it.
"You look like..." Sam paused and laughed, "Shit."
Stella forced a smile to her lips, "Have you been crying?" Sam furrowed his brows and stood straight, staring at her red stained face. "What's wrong?"
"You know what I don't really wanna talk about it, night, Sam."Stella ignored him, the sudden recollection of the night returning as she couldn't stop replaying the fight.
"Stella -" Sam called out but it was too late, she'd shut her door and closed the blinds.
The blonde girls back met with the door whilst she looked to JJ, a worried expression upon his face as he immediately pulled his arms around her as she cried once more.
