𝓢TELLA had felt more than excited for the kegger, for her friends to all be together and an excuse to get drunk. JJ had left her house when John B had picked him up to get some alcohol, leaving the brunette on her own with her mind. The memory of her dad being sat in the Summer House, insisting that her parents were gonna be okay.
The sudden notification on her phone brought her back to reality as Stella picked it up and read the message. '𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙜𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙠𝙚𝙜𝙜𝙚𝙧' was all the brunette needed to look up and see a familiar curly haired boy on the balcony opposite hers.
Sam D'Terra, he was the only Kook that Stella could really stand, the only one she actually kept in contact with when she discarded her friendship with the group. The fact that he was also Stella's neighbour didn't help, if they argued she couldn't escape from him as easier as she could've with the others.
"Are you spying on me, D'Terra," She raised her brows and walked outside, leaning against the balcony's fencing whilst the curly haired boy held his hands up in defence.
"Just wanted to know if you're going tonight," Sam shrugged to her whilst she smiled and brushed her hand through her hair. ("It's the Pogues hosting it, Sam,") She shook her head and gave a small laugh. "It's a kegger, everyone's going — even tourists," He responded whilst she laughed again.
"Yes, I am going," She smiled and glanced down to her feet awkwardly. Sam smiled back at her and gave a nod. "I need to get ready, but i'll see you later," She creased her lips into a thin line and gave one last smile, walking back inside as the girl took one last glance at him. Sam gave a salute whilst she grinned and drew her curtains closed.
Stella turned around with a smile on her face and widened her eyes when she saw her mother propped against her door ledge, "I didn't see you there," She widened her eyes and gulped, going back to hunting through her wardrobe for clothes.
"You spoke to your dad already," Angelina sighed and bit down on her bottom lip, walking into her daughters room without a hesitation and sitting delicately on the side of her bed. ("Whats there to speak about? Just a little argument, right?") Stella smiled. The older woman only let out a deep sigh and placed her hands into her head, "Of course," She scoffed.
"Are you okay?" Stella furrowed her brows and took a seat beside her mother, watching as the woman slowly turned so her cheek was against her palm and her view was on her daughter. A single tear fell down Angelina cheek whilst the woman continued to smile. "Mum? What's wrong?" She whispered.
"I don't want to live here anymore, Stell. I never did and never will want to, it's not my scene — and I understand if you wanna stay with your dad but I want to go to Italy and —" Angelina frowned and allowed tears to drop as Stella gulped and shook her head. ("Stop. Stop — what are you talking about,") She spoke over her. "I'm divorcing your father,"
Stella stared at her mum in disbelief, her lips parted and her throat dry. The girl only shook her head slowly, standing up as she took random clothes from the end of her bed and walked out of her house. Stella was upset, angry but most importantly scared. Her whole life she'd wanted to explore, go to cities, leave the Outerbanks for at least the Summer. But when she finally got the opportunity to, she'd be living her life behind.
Sarah pulled the dress over her head, brushing it down and staring at herself in the mirror as she let out a deep breathe. Her eyes travelling around the white frame, staring at each photo whilst the memories fled back. But when her eyes stumbled on one she hadn't remembered being up there, she slowly pulled it off and stared even longer.A photo of Sarah, Stella and Kie with their arms around each other, a clear smile and grin on their faces. Even looking at it the girl could recall the amount of laughter they'd shared that day.
Nobody except the girls and Rafe knew why they'd fallen out, they'd either presumed Stella and Kiara ditched Elle or that Sarah had pushed them away. Either way, non of them were true. Her finger slightly grazed across the picture whilst a small frown appeared on her face.
"You look pretty," Someone admitted from the doorway, Sarah swiftly turned around and shoved the picture in between a book, smiling at Wheezie who looked at her step sister in awe.
"Not as pretty as you," Sarah began to make her way to the girl and brush her hand through her brown curly locks. ("Why can't I go? I'm thirteen now, that's a reasonable age,") The younger girl then finally spat out. "Sure, Sneezie," Sarah teased and snorted.
"It's true! I mean, nobody will know i've gone," She rolled her eyes at the nickname and crossed her arms over the other. ("Rose will,") Sarah spoke over. "No, just say we ditched to go somewhere else,"
"No, Wheezie, just stay home," The blonde shook her head and looked down at the curly haired girl, bringing her into a hug before pulling away. The sudden noise of a car honking brought the girl back to reality as she smiled. "Stay out of trouble," Sarah said and left her room. "— and don't snoop through my stuff again!" She yelled as she walked down the stairs.
Wheezie mimicked the last words, walking over to Sarahs window where she watched down as the blonde got into Toppers car and planted kisses on his lips. "Gross," Wheezie scoffed and began to walk away, stopping suddenly.
She couldn't help it, her fingers began searching through the books until she finally watched an item fall out of one. Wheezie kneeled closer to the floor and picked it up, staring at the three girls in the picture.
