𝓢TELLA stared at her childhood home, her feet glued to the stone patio as she pulled her arms around her waist - which was thankfully more healthier now - before taking deep breathes. She never knew that a place she once desired could've been the causing of all her pain; but not only that, the place that her life turned from bitter-sweet to all bitter.
"Stella?!" She heard someone call out, her eyes immediately turning towards the familiar voice until all so suddenly she was departed from the ground and spun around in the arms of her neighbour.
A smile immediately rose upon her lips, "Sam?" She whispered and held him back, pulling her legs around his waist, "Oh my God it's so good to smell you again."
Sam snickered, finally letting her go as she remained with her hands on his arms, "You look amazing, Stell - not that you didn't before... but you look healthier and happier! You suit your blonde hair," He admitted in a low tone. "Europe treated you good." He added.
Stella grinned and shook her head, opening her mouth to respond until she was cut off, "Sam! When I said you could have a head start I didn't say sprint," An unfamiliar, feminine voice laughed out.
The blonde Carter pulled her hands to her side and looked to the girl. She had blown out blonde hair and a tanned complexion, a beauty mark beside her top lip and blue eyes as deep as the ocean - a typical blonde beauty.
"Who's this?" She caught the two up, looking between Sam and Stella as she smiled to the blonde girl who mirrored the gesture.
Sam scratched the back of his neck before responding: "Mae... this is my next door neighbour Stella, Stell meet Maeve," The boy introduced the two.
"I know Stella - we had the same classes last year! I just didn't notice you with your blonde hair... how have you been? I heard that you moved to Europe and after everything that happened - " Maeve began to speak.
"I've been great, thanks," Stella cut her off, unable to hear the words associated with her dead best friend as her happiness to return had now been washed away. "Anyway, I should unpack so i'll catch you later?"
Sam nodded as Maeve smiled and placed her head against the brunette boys shoulder, waving her off as Stella left and made her way into her house. "Stella!" She heard her father shout.
Almost immediately, the girl pinned the voice towards the kitchen and pulled off her jacket, throwing it onto the sofa and rushing until she crashed into her dads arms. "I've missed you so much," She whispered as he chuckled and held her back tighter.
