𝓢TELLA had practically fallen over her own legs running down the steps, sprinting down the corridor to already see both her parents stood up and rather close to their television. A smile was quick to form on her lips when she watched her father comfort her mother, that was until both the olders turned to her with frightened expressions.
"What's wrong? What are they saying?" Stella spoke stupidly, finding herself between her parents arms as Angelina placed her head on the teenagers shoulder and Marco wrapped his arm around both girls.
Hurricane Agatha continues its steady march towards Kildare Island on the Outer Banks of North Carolina...
"Hurricane Agatha," Marco sighed whilst they all stared at the TV screen in anticipation for anymore news.
"You're best off in the house again, Marco. It's safer in here, I'll go set up the guest bed," Angelina told the two as she gave her daughter a short side hug, ignoring the mans disagreements. Marco followed after the woman whilst Stella stood for a little longer, grabbing the controller to turn the television off.
She tried to tune out the news and found herself more irritated by the loud sirens, Stella had always despised any sort or alarm, yet nobody really knew why. Maybe it was School, or common threats like Storms, but she hated any connected to the noise.
The girl had read the messages from John B about him re-scheduling his appointment with DCS, the loud cheers coming from outside her window made her open the door and glance over at the beach, blinking in disbelief at the boys who stood on the sand."You're having me on, why is today the day full of stupid morons," She whispered to herself, tucking the strands of her hair behind her ear before they began to blow rapidly against her face again. The girl couldn't help but glance into Sam's room, that was until she saw him sat on his bed reading a book.
Stella scoffed before rolling her eyes and rushing back into her room. Within seconds she'd already gotten side-tracked and wondered outside once again, she stared directly at the two male figures to try and figure out who they are. Finally narrowing her eyes straight strongly enough, she gasped and looked at the two figures in disbelief.
"I would've taken Pogues smart enough to stay in when a storm is approaching," A voice called out whilst Stella suddenly witted her head to the side and looked at Sam.
"Literally shut up," She rolled her eyes, sharing another quick glance to her two best friends as she felt her heart race staring at John B. The curly headed boy appeared to be riding a wave and fury built up inside the girl. "You're so bloody annoying, D'Terra." Stella scoffed.
"Since when did you become british," Sam teased but she only bit down on her cheek and glanced down at her balcony fence, suddenly climbing over the large barrier. "Are you crazy?" He asked her, stepping forward in a worried matter— not that it would do much since he was split by his balcony.
"If i'm going to save two idiots, then yes," Stella tightened her grip and suddenly found herself stuck as to where to go, that was until she looked up to another balcony and practically had a light bulb formed above her head. "Please," She looked up to him.
Sam raised his brows at her, finally understanding what she was trying to give off and sighed. The curly haired boy extended his hand out whilst she hesitated to grab it. From there, her reliability fell onto the boy. He helped her make her way over to his balcony, worried for her safety the whole time.
Suddenly, the girl let go of the curly haired boy, screaming as he too joined in with clearly more fear in his voice than hers. When she remained up he only looked down to see her foot on top of his balcony floor, rolling his eyes at her as he brought his hand up to push his brown locks back.
Stella began to laugh, finding the whole situation hysterical as the boy was even annoyed she'd tried to fool him like that. "Oh, you should've seen your face," She smiled at him, opening his balcony doors to his room like it was his own house. He scoffed and followed behind her. When they reached his front door, she finally turned around to him and sighed, "You can't tell my parents I was here- or even left my room,"
"I'll consider it-" Sam teased as the girl only furrowed her brows and removed her hand from the door handle, grabbing his hands in hers as he practically forced the smile that was trying to form on his lips away. ("Please, Sam") She whispered. He continued to stare at her for a few more seconds before slowly nodding, hesitantly pulling her in for a hug as she found herself lost for words. "Don't do anything stupid, Stell," He whispered.
The brunette frowned slightly with the nickname, pulling away as she smiled and finally exited out the front door. When any trace of the girl was gone, he brushed his sweaty hands down his thighs and let out a large sigh before heading back upstairs to shut his balcony door. "Please, Sam," He mimicked her as a large grin formed upon his face, this time, he didn't bother hiding it.
The wind blew her hair hysterical, she stood in front of the 'closed beach' sign with her arms crossed over the other, gasping every time she watched John B fail to ride his surf board as he collided into the water. When the two boys finally noticed Stella, clearly full of anger, they slowly made their way towards her.
"I hate you— both. Why are you surfing waves when a hurricane is approaching!" She yelled at them, walking past the large sign and pounding her fist once onto John B's chest. He didn't pull any gesture but just shared a look at Pope who looked equally as scared of the girl. "You could've drowned!" She added.
The two boys looked lost for words, the girl only raised her brows even more and reached out for Pope's surfboard to clearly take it away. Except, the board wasn't budging from the sand. She ignored his protests for him to get it but when she so stubbornly yanked it he finally pushed it forward and watched as it hit the girl harshly on the head.
"Shit!" Pope shouted, watching as Stella stood there for a while longer with her hand against her head, she pulled up on finger and opened her mouth to say something before falling backwards. Thankfully, John B had managed to stop her head from hitting the sands surface, the two boys passing ideas as to how to fix their situation.
