When Lindsey woke up the next morning, he was disappointed Stevie was already up. He wished they could have lay in bed together for a while, but that's not very likely to happen, when they had a six month old baby. He put on his pajamas that he tossed aside the night before and walked out of the bedroom, making his way towards the staircase, when he saw Stevie with Aaron. She was talking to him in her special baby voice and the boy obviously found it funny as he was smiling and giggling. It warmed Lindsey's heart, making him think, just how wonderful it would be to have another baby...

"Having fun without me?"

"Look who decided to join us, Aaron! You missed Daddy, baby?" Lindsey took Aaron from Stevie, placing a kiss to his forehead. "Did I wake you?"

"No, I don't think so, I didn't hear you leave."

"I was tempted to wake you up, but you looked so peaceful."

"I know I promised to wake up with Aaron, but I slept so well."

"Don't worry about it. I was already awake when I heard him."

"Can we go back to bed?"

"Why?"

"It's Sunday and I want to be lazy."

"But it's a beautiful day, I thought we might go out for a walk."

"We can absolutely do that, but later. Please, Steph. Can we have a day to ourselves?" He got a better grip on their son, so he could hold his hand out for her. She finally gave in and they went back to the bedroom.

"I can make something for breakfast if you want."

"What I want is for you to relax and enjoy the morning with your family." Lindsey repeated again, while making funny faces at Aaron.

"Family... I've never thought we'd get here."

"You think I have?"

"I want you to know that you two mean everything to me, Linds. I wouldn't trade this for the world."

"I do know that. And I could say the very same thing. I love you and you've made me the happiest man on earth giving me our son. It's the most precious gift I could have ever asked for in life."

"Right, if you forget that part where I didn't want you to know about the fact that I had your baby."

"And that's the part where I'm going to be forever thankful to Christine McVie."

"I was so mad at her!" Stevie exclaimed, remembering that particular moment. "I thought I was going to kill her for blurting it out. And in front of everyone!"

"Hey, enjoying the morning, not thinking of my failed wedding, remember?"

"God, I'm so glad she ruined it."

"You could have done it yourself, you know..."

"She tried getting me to go see you before the ceremony."

"And why didn't you do that?"

"Because I thought we were both making wise decisions in life, that we've grown up and we understand what's better for us."

"What's wrong with us sometimes?" They both started laughing and Aaron joined in as if he understood perfectly what was being said. "You mentioned going out later."

"Yeah. The sun is out and it's not too hot outside."

"But..."

"What?"

"You don't think we'll get followed or get photographed?"

"Why would that happen?"

"Because we're Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham, with a baby?"

"Oh, right."

"Stevie, are you serious? The thought hasn't crossed your mind, has it?"

"No. I'm so used to being away from all that."

"I mean... It's fine with me, I don't care."

"You know, you're right. Screw them! We're together, it will get out eventually."

"Really?"

"Really. I've got nothing to hide, I'm happy with my life, I'm happy I have you two."

"I want to kiss you badly right now, but I have a baby laying on me, so you're gonna have to get closer."

"Gladly." Stevie smiled and leaned over to brush their lips together briefly.

"That is not a kiss."

"Well, when you don't have a baby laying on you, then I'll give you a proper kiss."

"He's six months, he won't understand."

"I'm not about to make out with you in front of our baby boy, you can forget about it."

"Fine." Lindsey fake pouted, making Stevie roll her eyes at how childish he could be if he didn't get what he wanted.

They spent another hour or so in bed, talking about everything that came to their minds or being silent, playing with Aaron, being a family. They took turns in showering, had breakfast and started getting ready to go out.

It was what other people did, but it was so unusual for the pair of them. Neither Stevie or Lindsey had noticed so many parents, with their kids in strollers or trying to toddle around in a park, until they found themselves in the same situation. They didn't escape prying eyes, but at least it wasn't paparazzi.

Lindsey pointed at a banch and they stopped to sit down for a while. "You said it's warm outside!"

"It's August in Arizona, what did you expect?"

"I think I might melt and then you'll be sad I'm gone."

"Whatever." Stevie laughed, taking a bottle of water.

They fell silent. Lindsey's eyes were fixed on a playground near where they were sitting. Little kids playing, running around, laughing... He sighed, looking away, but not before Stevie caught him looking in that direction. Suddenly, she felt guilty. They had a child, but Lindsey was such an amazing father, he deserved to have a whole bunch of little ones running around the house. She felt her eyes fill up with tears and he saw that.

"It's time to head back, don't you think?"

"Mhm." She nodded, unsure if she could speak.

He took her hand and squeezed it, giving her a genuine smile. "Aaron's starting to fuss."

"It's about his nap time, we don't want him to show off his vocal chords."

"No, we don't." He put his arm around her shoulders and pressed a kiss to her temple as she pushed the stroller all the way back home, neither of them saying a word.
