19. The talk

After dinner Jeremy and Madison went upstairs and sat on her bed talking.

"I know it's been a few hours but how are you adjusting to your new vampire life?", Madison asked.

"It's a bit weird but I'm getting used to it", Jeremy said.

"You know, you do make a hot vampire", Madison said as she leaned in closer to him.

"I know", he whispered as he kissed her.

They started making out and Madison laid down while Jeremy stayed on top. They took their shirts off and kept making out until someone walked into the room.

"Hey Madison can I tal-", Elena quickly turned around as soon as she saw them making out.

They immediately stopped making out and Jeremy spoke as they both put their shirts on, "Jesus Elena can you knock next time?!".

"Wrong timing, sorry, I'll leave", Elena said.

"No, it's ok. You can turn around now", Madison said and Elena turned around, "Jer can you leave us alone for a bit please?".

"Yeah, don't fight again", Jeremy said.

"We won't", Elena said as Jeremy got up from Madison's bed and gave her a peck on the lips before leaving the room.

Elena closed the door behind him, "I'm sorry I've been a bitch to you about you dating my brother".

"I'm sorry for being a bitch to you about it and I'm sorry for saying that you never cared about him", Madison said.

"It's just Jeremy has been hurt by you before because you decided to go back to your ex so I was scared that you'd hurt him again", Elena said.

"I'd never go back to Stefan ever again, plus I love Jeremy and he makes me the happiest I've ever been", Madison said as she got up from her bed.

"Yeah, I'm sure of that now Mads and I know that he loves you and he's really happy with you and this is probably the happiest he's ever been in a long time", Elena said, "When you supposedly died he wasn't ok, he pretended he was but he wasn't. He got back into drugs and drinking, did he tell you?".

"No, he didn't. I didn't know", Madison said.

"Yeah, it was pretty bad until you returned. He stopped getting stoned right away", Elena said.

"Wow...", Madison said.

"It's ok, he's happy again. Thank you for saving his life", Elena said.

"It's nothing, he would've come back vampire blood or not. I had modified his ring a few years back so that he'd come back from human caused deaths too. He only had my blood in his system because of the fight with Ryan. He practically made me give him my blood", Madison said.

"How is Ryan by the way? After you uh, you know", Elena said.

"Oh he's fine, he's at home again", Madison said.

"Well that's good. Anyways, friends again?", Elena asked.

"Of course", Madison said and they both smiled and hugged, "Oh, and no more giving me a hard time for dating your brother".

"Then no more giving me a hard time for giving you a hard time for dating my brother", Elena laughed.

"Please knock next time", Madison laughed as Elena walked to the door and opened it.

"I've learnt my lesson, I don't want to walk in on you and Jeremy uh being busy again", Elena said, "Goodnight Mads".

"Night Lena", Madison said.

They hugged and then Madison sat on her bed again. Elena walked out and went to the guest bedroom next door. Jeremy vamped into Madison's room, locked the door and sat on her bed next to her.

"So you guys are finally friends again", Jeremy said.

"Yes we are. Wait, were you listening to our conversation?", Madison asked.

"Yeah, I'm sorry I never told you about anything", Jeremy said.

"You were getting drunk and stoned again. You should've told me love", Madison said.

"I know, I'm sorry. I didn't want you to think that I was weak or something just because the first thing I did when you disappeared was turn in that direction", Jeremy said as he looked down.

"Hey, babe, stop", she held his hand and he looked up again, "Jeremy Gilbert you are the strongest person I know. You've gone through so much pain and loss but you've always pulled through. You're not weak Jer, you were just going through imense pain. I made you go through a lot of your pain and I'm extremely sorry that I did but that doesn't matter anymore. You're happy. The happiest you've been in a long time. I'm also the happiest that I've been in a long time and you know why? Because I have the best boyfriend in the whole world. There has never been and there will never be anyone like you. When we get the cure, you'll take it and I'll take it too and then we can both live the happy life we both deserve. Get married, have kids and grow old together", Madison said.

"I never said anything about taking the cure Mads", Jeremy said.

"But you're going to take it right?", Madison asked.

"I don't know, maybe not right away", Jeremy said.

"Ok, ok. It's your choice and you fully have my support. I won't force it upon you, ok?", Madison said.

"Thank you babe. Now, how about we watch some movies?", Jeremy asked.

"Ooo yes! Can we watch Titanic please?", Madison asked.

"Seriously, again?", Jeremy asked.

"Please", Madison looked at him with puppy eyes.

"Fine, we can watch Titanic for the billionth time", Jeremy gave in.

"Yay! I'm going to quickly get changed into my pjs and you should do the same", Madison said as she got off her bed.

"Why should we? They'll be on the floor in the morning", Jeremy chuckled and Madison got changed

"Stop staring and just get changed dumbass", Madison laughed softly, she had noticed him staring again.

Madison got in her bed as Jeremy got off. He took his shirt and pants off and was left in only his boxers. Jeremy then got back into her bed, they put the movie on and cuddled. After a few movies, they ended up falling asleep as they cuddled.

an: Another shit chapter but I really wanted my baby Elena to be friends with Madison again. Mads found out that Jer had been getting high and drunk when she was "dead". Yuh, the next chapter will be getting into the whole killing 12 witches thing and them finding the cure. I'm probably going to end up inventing my own way to get the map for the cure cause I'm pretty sure I should've introduced that earlier but fuck it. This story is almost ending and I've finished the first chapter of the rewritten Changes book and believe me, it's turning out way better than this book! :D Anyways bye loves and find out what happens on the next chapter of CHANGES! <3
