Phandrin tugged Kwared along, the halls of the dormitory echoing as Kwareds ears pressed back. He felt sick to his stomach, he hadn't spoken to Phandrin in what felt like forever and now he was being dragged to the boy's dormitory.
"Phandrin I don't want to talk right now, I don't feel well-" he rushed tugging his arm away. He slowed to a stop glancing at the doors around him. Phandrin stopped as well, turning to him with a sorrowful expression.
"Listen, I won't make you talk, I wanna make sure you're ok... I just want to explain alright? You can leave right after...: Phandrin paused, setting a hand on the boy's face, hesitation. Kwared didn't move. Phandrin frowned at the boy's tail between his legs.
"You can leave right after, and I won't bother you anymore, I just need to check..." Phandrin finished as Kwared stared at the floor between them, nodding. Phandrin exhaled quietly as they continued to his dorm.
Kwared was woozy still from the drugs he'd taken this morning. He normally wouldn't be as affected, he never left his dorm anymore, he never exerted himself. He tried to slow his breathing, his panic not making anything better as he tried to focus on the wings on Phandrins back. He tried humming quietly, closing his eyes as Phandrin pulled him along, blinking slowly.
Everything felt louder, he could feel his clothes against him, and he hated how his tongue felt in his mouth as he swallowed.
They finally slowed to a stop, Phandrin reaching for his keys as Kwared inhaled sharply, leaning his head against the boy's back. Phandrin tensed slightly, his eyebrows furrowing as he unlocked the door.
"I need to sit down..." Kwared muttered, Phandrin nodding as he opened the door quickly and turned to help Kwared inside. He clenched his jaw as he noted Kwared getting paler, guiding him.
He sit the boy down on the couch, Kwared remembering it from when he came over for dinner.
"What's wrong-?.. Are you high?" Phandrin got straight to the point, kneeling down to eye level as Kwared stayed quiet. He stared down, hating being here. It made him feel too guilty. Phandrin helped him out of his addiction, they shared dinner here. Now his addiction was worse than ever, and here he was again.
He ignored Phandrins question, his throat closing up when he tried to answer. He recognized it, the tight feeling you got before crying. He didn't want to cry, Phandrin was going to explain and he would get to leave. That was if he could get through the explanation.
"Kwared please I need to know if you're gonna pass out or get sick... if you're ever sober enough to listen," Phandrin asked as Kwared swallowed, rubbing his eyes.
"I'm high... Molly," Kwared muttered. He kept his face down as Phandrin sighed.
"Ecstasy.. did you take anything else with it-? I saw you take something on the way into the arena," Phandrin rushed, his hand checking the boys tempature as Kwared shrugged.
"Kwared if you did then you need to flush your system, you'll overdose doing that," Phandrin muttered, standing and walking out of the room quickly.
Kwared sighed loudly, falling back and running his hands over his face. He used ecstasy all the time just fine but the exertion was probably making him sick. He was stressed, so maybe that was also what was happening.
Phandrin came back with water and a box, Kwareds eyes widening.
"You're absolutely fucking hilarious," he kept his eyes on the box as Phandrin gripped the handle. Kwared backed up against the couch, tail wrapping around his waist as his breath got shallow. He couldn't tell if it was from his drugs or fear of the item Phandrin held.
