Phandrin helped Kwared up with a small smile, Kwared smiling still as well. His grip was tight, Kwareds tail wagging behind him as he held a handful of flowers.
"Kitsune rarely let's the flowers bloom outside of the field," Phandrin said carefully, leaning a kiss on Kwareds cheek when he nodded.
"I know, I wanted to try though, maybe she will.." Kwared nodded, turning his gaze to Phandrin with a smile again.
"Maybe, they look so pretty in your hair," Phandrin ran his hand down the braids in Kwareds hair, Kwared staring at his expression. Phandrins other hand still gripped his, the boys eyes basically glowing orange from the flowers below.
"So do you, especially," Kwared mumbled, his tail waving more exxagerated as he was practically grinning. Phandrin had never seen him this happy before, the sight making him warm, despite all the new bandages.
"Thank Kitsune, I hope you like it," Phandrin smiled, glancing around as the flowers seemed to dim and lighten, flickering, almost like a response as Kwareds grin never faltered.
"I do, and yeah.. thank Kitsune," Kwared nodded, the two of them shifting out of the field. Kwared watched the field lights dim, changing back to the dandelions, but the flowers in Kwareds hands and hair, as well as the ones in Phandrins, flickered in response to Kwared; just as they had for Phandrin.
Kwared laughed slightly, holding up the flowers higher, looking between them and Phandrin excitedly.
Phandrin just smiled back, taking one of the flowers to examine it, his smile never faltering either.
"You look so happy," Phandrin smiled, Kwared smiling at the flowers he held, small tears in his eyes. He wasn't upset though, he was just a bit happier than usual.
"I am, this is so perfect," he laughed, looking up at Phandrin again who strung the flower he held through the braid in Kwareds hair.
"You're so perfect," Kwared nodded, zero hesitance in his movements as Phandrin smiled down at him, setting his hands on the boys face again.
"Thank-you love, you are so lovely as well, I quite literally adore you," Phandrin grinned, taking advantage of Kwareds busy hands and running his hands over his hair, his hands petting over his ears.
Kwared hummed, Phandrin confused when the hum quieted but.didnt dissapear completely. He heard a quiet humming as Kwared continued to look at the flowers, the two of them standing in the dark.
"Are you humming?" Phandrin asked, petting over Kwareds ears again before tilting the boys head up. Kwareds focus moved from the flowers back to Phandrin.
"No? I wasnt at all," Kwared said, Phandrin hearing the noise even while Kwared was talking. He furrowed his eyebrows as Kwared made a face of realization. His eyes widened for a second as he closed his mouth quickly.
"Uhm- that's not humming," Kwared laughed slightly, setting the flowers in one hand to rub his neck.
"Are you purring?" Phandrin questioned, a grin appearing on his face as Kwareds ears shifted back quickly.
"-I don't control it!-" Kwared waved his hand, his tail wrapping around his leg as Phandrins grin grew suspicious.
"I didn't know foxes did that," Phandrin laughed, dragging his hands from Kwareds hair down to his neck, landing on his shoulders. Kwared shrugged.
"It rarely happens, I barely noticed," Kwared muttered, his tail relaxing again when he realized Phandrin wasn't judging it.
"I like it, alot, it's gonna be my goal to make you do that," Phandrin nodded to himself. Kwared was shocked he just- made that something he'd just do?
"It's not too easy, I can't even fake it either, I don't know what causes it," he hummed, stringing the last few flowers tightly through his fingers or hair to hold onto them while they flew back.
Phandrins mischief like demeanor only grew at this, opening his wings and copying Kwared. They both flew up, heading back towards the dormitory.
"Come to my dorm," Phandrin hushed, flying barely above Kwared, setting a hand on the boys back, between his wings.
"Alright," Kwared nodded, flying silently after that, Phandrin humming to himself quietly.
They landed down, Kwared wobbling slightly as he grabbed Phandrins shoulder, stepping inside. They discarded their jackets, Kwared stretching, the cool air in the dorm refreshing.
"Where should we put these?" Kwared asked, Phandrin pausing before stepping into the kitchen, grabbing a vase.
"Here, we can give them water like this," Phandrin nodded, setting the vase in the sink to fill it before letting Kwared set the flowers inside. Kwared noticed Phandrins slightly antsy behavior, furrowing his eyebrows as he set the vase down on the table.
"They look nice," Kwared nodded, slipping his hands in his pockets. Phandrin kept glancing between his and the room, nodding.
"Are you okay?" Kwared asking, turning to him more as Phandrin paused. Kwared stared at him for a second, Phandrin grabbing his jaw suddenly. Kwared jumped, his hands moving abruptly. Phandrins hands were always cool, and the sudden movement startled him. Phandrin moved Kwareds gaze so quickly, the boy took a moment to refocus on what he was looking at.
"No, you're just really pretty, nothings wrong," Phandrin grinned at him, leaning down. Kwareds eyes widened as he was moved back, his tail brushing the tabletop behind them.
"But you're fidgeting-" Kwared said, his hand going to Phandrins wrist. Phandrins other hand laid on the table top, his forearm on Kwareds waist.
"It's not a bad thing," Phandrin hummed, nodding slightly as Kwareds eyes flickered between Phandrin and the wall behind him.
"Then why-?" Kwared stumbled, Phandrin leaning down further. Blood had rushed to Kwareds neck, up to his face a while ago, Phandrin finding alot of amusement in it. Kwareds free hand gripping the table behind them, his tail shifting beside them.
"I just really wanted to be touching you, I was just waiting," Phandrin shrugged, Kwared staying quiet.
"Is that bad?" Phandrin asked, leaning his forehead against Kwareds. Kwared breathing was heavier than before, his eyes less nervous, managing to keep on Phandrin for longer.
"No- I was just wondering," Kwared responded quickly, his grip on Phandrins wrist tightening.
"You look vulnerable," Phandrin mused.
"What if someone from school saw you like this... Red-faced and trapped between me and a table. Me. The goody two shoes goat who wouldn't say no to a fly," Phandrin snickered, his hand holding Kwareds jaw moving to brush his hair back.
Kwared scoffed, his ears pressing back as he rolled his eyes. Phandrin eyes this, Kwared turning his head away when Phandrin let go of his jaw.
"Aw don't give an attitude," Phandrin said suddenly, moving Kwareds head back to face him again. His movement was more stern, clear.
"I didn't mean to-" Kwared started, his eyes widened as Phandrin raised his eyebrows.
"You're being awfully obedient," Phandrin grinned, Kwared shutting his mouth for good, his eyes narrowing as Phandrins grip tightened, his hand on the table moving to Kwareds waist.
"Are you alright with this?" Phandrin asked suddenly, his tone growing more serious. He made clear eye contact with Kwared now, trying to figure what hed say. Kwared smiled slightly, his grip on Phandrins wrist moving to his face carefully.
"Yeah, I'm perfectly fine, Phandrin,"
