Ace bit down on her nail for a moment, shifting inside before the door clicked open. Her stomach dropped at Kwareds appearance, glancing back down the hallway again.

"Uhm, I just wanted to talk, alone," They muttered, Kwared eyeing them for a second, staying quiet as he moved out of the door, letting her in. Ace stepped inside, his dorm reeked like cigarette smoke but he was obviously a cleanaholic.

She paused in the living room, Kwared walking to his dining area and sitting down silently, Ace spotting the red color in his wings again making her smile slightly. She followed, sitting down across from him as he motioned her to start talking.

"I uh- well first of all I'm glad you and Phandrin are okay again, or it seems, he was really happy on the phone," She nodded, Kwared smiling slightly. "Yeah, We talked it out a bit ago, just some misunderstanding," Kwared said, picking up a steaming cup that Ace hadn't noticed before. Kwared knew she didn't like tea.

"I wanted to apologies- in person? Alone? I don't really know. I had some time to think about stuff and Holly really helped and I feel horrible for everything I said in the ring- you kept my secret safe for years and I-," Ace paused, glancing down at the table. Kwared tensed, glaring at his teacup for a moment before nodding slowly.

"I barely know anything or remember, you said your parents-," Kwared was cut off, Ace dropping her hand on the table. "Ill explain again, only cause I do still trust you, you didn't spew it in the arena even after what I said," She muttered, her tail hanging down nervously. Kwareds chairs were built so that their tails could hang off of the back without hurting them.

"I told you about my parents, they were the drug dealers originally but when my mom got arrested, my dad forced me to help him with it," Ace paused, recalling her parents that lived countries away now, their faces pretty much a blur at this point.

"I got too into the money I guess, and he would pressure me into trying some but when I wouldn't, he just started making me pick up and drop off. At one point one of the dealers attacked me cause I gave them the wrong dose even though my dad packaged it, not me," She shrugged, Kwareds ears pressing back as he listened. He'd heard it before, but his memory was bad, and he wanted to let Ace talk about it, since she didn't have any family or close enough friends.

"Once my dad moved away I still continued and started making and developing my own, stealing or trading between buyers and soon enough, as all drug dealers, it crashed and I lost almost all of my income. They beat me up and threw me out of that small apartment, the people who wanted their money back. Even the people I didn't fuck with. That's when I found you and you practically, in hysteria, begged me to sell to you what I had left. You became my only source of income for food..." Ace paused, rubbing at her eyes for a second as she laughed sadly.

"I couldn't even tell an authority- I'd lose all my chances of school in the future if I got caught, or if other students knew they'd rat me out or something-," Ace finished, sighing as Kwared nodded slowly. They were quiet for a moment as Aces tail curled up to her body, leaning on her elbow as she glanced at Kwared again.

"I know this wasn't supposed to turn into this, I'm sorry, but I really wanted to apologies for what I did. It wasn't even really my business but I was mad. I really consider you my best friend even if you don't consider me the same, and I hated seeing how you reacted to it-," She waved her hands slightly, Kwared opening his mouth to speak but refrained.

"You apologized too and owned up but I was childish- I'm really sorry bro, I just wanna be whatever we were before, frenemies," Ace laughed airily before glancing up at Kwared again who smiled slightly.

"I thought you just considered me a customer," He laughed slightly, Ace shrugging. "C'mon, we both would buy and sell and then hangout at that old abandoned house and talk for a good 7 hours until one of us passed out, I don't think enemies do that, I think we were good friends. Neither of us wanted to admit it though," Ace shrugged, still on edge since Kwared hadn't accepted or denied her apology just yet.

"You helped me with my wounds too, and I helped clean you up after your break in and helped with moving you into the dorms, so I agree," Kwared trailed off, his tail wagging slightly behind him. She thought back, Phandrin was right, Kwared was in a really good mood. The boy had already smiled a good 3 times since she came in, let alone at all, ever.

"So... can we be friends again-? Or start our friendship-," Ace asked after a few moments of silence, Kwared having stood up to put his cup away. She followed thinking the boy was leaving before realizing.

"Sure, I already forgave you a while ago, I just couldn't say it. I'm sorry for bludgeoning you, and for everything else. I know you well enough, I guessed you'd come back and apologize eventually, and I'm glad," Kwared turned to her having rinsed and set away the teacup, Ace grinned as her ears perked up, her tail wagging viscously behind her, risking some of Kwareds china.

"is this where friends hug or something? We gotta do that right-" Ace waved her hands, grinning up at Kwared, the boy raising a brow. She knew he hated hugs but it was too late.

Kwared didn't get to respond, Ace having already been hugging him, her tail making whipping noises. She didn't move, Keeping her arms where they were until Kwared responded, his arms resting on her shoulders hesitantly.

"I'm not gonna do anything Kwared," She hummed, Kwared relaxing slightly before nodding.
"I know, just- a habit," He muttered, hugging her back with a smile. He was happier than ever, Phandrin and Ace having forgave and apologized, he almost didn't believe it. Ace grinned when Kwareds tail wrapped around her, something he did to Phandrin and Kertia, so it must have been a good thing.

Ace pulled back eventually, grinning as Kwared laughed at her appearance. one of her ears was flipped and her tail was still wagging. "You look like you just got free tickets to a carnival-," Kwared huffed, turning and going to sit at the dining table again as Ace shrugged.

"I am happy, and your tail is wagging too, so you have no say bro," She spat, opening his fridge. Kwared raised a brow watching as she pulled out an energy drink.

"Oh yeah, just make yourself at home-," Kwared rolled his eyes, Ace nodding dramatically as she opened it. Kwared didn't actually care, Ace almost always taking one whenever she came over beforehand.

"Gladly, sharing is caring,"
