Kwareds breath turned heavier as he tugged his hands away, wrapping them around his torso. He leaned over, everything feeling sickly familiar as Phandrins voice voided out, his ears ringing.
He couldn't hear, he couldn't see, he couldn't even feel anything, his body trembling. He could faintly feel Phandrins hands on his, an aim or attempt in progress.
He trembled for another moment before letting out a low cry, standing up quickly. It felt too familiar, he didn't want to do this again, he couldnt.
"-I'm leaving, I can't deal with this- I'm not mad I just-" he sputtered for a second, regret of telling Phandrin everything seeping in. Phandrin would be disgusted, his tail wilting down between his legs as he continued to tune Phandrin out, making a bee-line for the door.
"I have to go-"
Phandrin grasped his sweater, tugging him back in attempt as Kwared struggled, Phandrins grip tightening
"Kwared-- Lyphin you can't leave right now- you need to calm down first," Phandrin tried to reason, but his grip slipped when Kwareds nails extended, the boy slamming the door behind him. Phandrin froze, his mouth slightly open, the slam rattling a few of his items
Guilt rose in his chest, but this time he knew they were alright, but what he was worried about was everyone else.He soon scrambled to the door, shaking away his shock and opening it. He started turning his head quickly, trying to figure which way Kwared ran off, the boys tail turning around a corner in his peripheral vision. He almost tripped when he went to follow, only making it to see the elevator door closing. His jaw clenched as he made a sharp turn to the stairwell, almost falling down the few steps.
He tried to beat the elevator, skidding to a stop infront of it and pressing the button quickly. His hands were clammy and his chest hurt, his guilt pressing him down. He hadn't meant to pull away from Kwared like he did, but the information had surprised him, but because of this Kwared probably thinks 'its' going to happen again.
Whatever he could guess 'it' was.
His eyes widened when the elevator opened, nobody inside, his ears flattening against his neck as he turned to the lobby, skidding out the door quickly. The elevator had passed Kwareds floor, it didn't stop, so he had to have stopped at one between and left through a window.
He opened his wings as soon as he was out the door, the gust of wind knocking down all the trash cans and plants around him, his body moving off the ground in a rush. He flew up as high as he could see everything, scanning the area as he looked for the boy. He knew Kwared wasn't mad at him, and Phandrin wasn't mad either, not at all, and nor was he upset; but he was worried- and that made it all the worse when he couldn't see the boy.
He flew down slowly, his body tensing as he gripped his sleeves. Kwared wasn't even able to finish telling him what had happened, the boy becoming incoherent. He didn't mean it, he didn't mean for this to happen, but he knew neither of them were to blame, he was smarter than that. Kwared was overwhelmed, he knew it. It was everyone else, and Phandrins distaste to the people around him grew.
He stood there a moment, staring down at the ground as he tried to think of what to do. Kwared left all of his belongings in Phandrins room, including his phone, so that was off the table.
He almost jumped when he heard footsteps, turning his head quickly hoping to see Kwared. He must have visibly looked deflated, Saiyans smile fading when he saw Phandrins expression, Phandrin turning to face the ground again when it wasn't Kwared.
Saiyan walked up to his quickly, a sad expression on his face, a hand resting on Phandrins shoulder.
"Are you alright? Did something happen-?" He asked softly, Phandrins body relaxing a bit at Saiyans tone. He always knew Saiyan to be naturally comforting, his prescense warm to those around him. He could make you smile so easily. Even if he didn't like you, he would do everything to make sure you were alright, just the kind of person he was.
"No I said some things wrong again I-" Phandrin stumbled, his hand going to Saiyans that set on his shoulder.
"I doubt you did, you never have Ill intentions Phandrin. There might have been a miscommunication? What happened?" Saiyan asked, gripping Phandrins hand who glanced around, watching for any kind of movement.
"I asked Kwared about something sensetive and he got overwhelmed I just- I wanted things to be alright but I fucked it up again-" he sputtered, Saiyan frowning slightly.
"No, you didn't do anything wrong, you just wanted to help. I'm sure once he's calmed down he will come to you immediately. He might just need to calm down a bit," Saiyan hummed, smiling at Phandrin who nodded slowly, his hands going to his pockets.
"You're soulmates after all, and I know Kwared is smart, I'll bet he knows you meant well," Saiyan finished. Saiyan could admit, he was scared of the fox, but he didn't think the boy should be treated as lowly as he has heard. He'd never even witnessed anything Kwared had done though, so he didn't have much say. He just knew Kwared to have good grades, and the boy was really cunning and quick in classes when he spoke.
"I don't know- Im just gonna go look for him again, I'm worried," Phandrin muttered, Saiyan nodding with a small smile.
"I'll come with you? I'm sure maybe I can help," he hummed, Phandrin nodding as he turned back to the dorm building. Saiyan frowned slightly at Phandrins sad demeanor, not used to it. Phandrin was always so happy and up and alive, so Saiyan guessed that this must be really bug him. He might have underestimated how much they've actually grown to care, especially since he wasn't exactly too close to Kwared.
"Let's search some of the floors again... I might have missed something.."
