Aliskan kept his head down when Sverve pulled away, Sverve furrowing their eyebrows for a moment.
"I know it must be a lot-" she started, Aliskan shaking his head slightly, sniffling.
"What did they do- They never brought you back so what were they..." Aliskan swallowed, squeezing his eyes shut for a moment, trying to stop the tears. Sverve had faint tear tracks on his face as well, staring at Aliskans hair.
"That isn't a worry anymore, we're okay now, so no need to worry about the past," Sverve quieted, rubbing Aliskans arm lightly. Aliskan nodded slowly, looking back up at Sverve with a small smile.
"We'll talk about it another time, but you're okay-," His smile widened, Sverve mirroring this.
"You were alive this whole time, and I had no idea," Aliskan laughed sadly, shifting his wings briefly. Sverve nodded, eyeing Aliskans wings now. He felt bad, but the harder part was over, and Aliskan was smiling now. He much preferred it this way.
"You got real scary a few moments ago, I didn't mean to stress you out, I just didn't want to overwhelm you so fast," Sverve explained, Aliskan nodding as he shrugged.
"I don't usually... get that bad unless someone is hurt or in danger. I don't know why I got so upset," He quieted, Sverve wrapping his arms around Aliskan again suddenly. Aliskan jumped, the hug much tighter than the last, their wings wrapping around him as well. Sverve could feel the inhumane muscles through Aliskans shirt, upset knowing that the boy was likely still self conscious over it.
"I wish I could've come back sooner- I woke up in that testing arena every day hoping that you'd be okay, and that we'd be able to leave together," Sverve explained, his words muffled by Aliskans shirt.
"And we did, A bit late, but we're together now- and we can catch up, same with the others," Aliskan nodded, smiling into Sverves shoulder, wrapping his arms over Sverves shoulders.
Sverve stayed quiet another moment before pulling back with a wide smile, almost shaking Aliskan slightly, Aliskan laughing briefly. He could feel the energy practically, Sverves smile contagious. He was still so pretty, and so easy to talk to.
"You're just as pretty as before, and you're so strong now!" Sverve explained, Aliskan setting his hands on Sverves forearms. Sverve moved his hands to Aliskans face again, his smile unmoving.
"Thankyou, you've changed but you're still so perfect, you're so calming too, just like before-," Aliskan hummed, his eyes widenening when he felt Sverve leave a print on his hair. Sverve watched the boys antennae straighten out, his face turning red at a comedic rate.
"We should go to the others, we've probably worried them," Sverve hummed, gripping Aliskans hands in hers. Aliskan was still processing what she'd done, turning his gaze down to their hands as he nodded. Sverve only smiled, a cocky look on their face as they tugged Aliskan along with them.
Outside, Phandrin had managed to focus on something other than the two unsupervised, considerably dangerous, angry, 4th level quadrants locked in a small storage room. He instead focused on Kwareds tail, Kwared sitting on the cement across from him with and amused smile on his face. Phandrin was trying to get the boys fur to stay flat and neat, but not all of the hairs would stay, Phandrin yelling in exasperation.
Atlan jumped so high, the door he was leaning on clicking open suddenly. His eyes widened when he almost toppled over, instead knocking someone else down.
He rolled off the person quickly, his eyes wide as he stared at the ceiling above them.
"Sorry whoever I just threw to the ground-," Atlan said quickly, watching as Sverve entered his vision. He smiled slightly, his eyes moving to Aliskan who sat up with a groan beside him, standing. His smile faded when Aliskan looked at him. He was lucky to see that his eyes were normal again, the tendons gone.
