Kwared sighed, his eyes closing as he sat in front of Phandrin on the couch, the boy running a towel over his wings carefully. He was pretty much falling asleep since neither of them were speaking, and Phandrin was being very careful, since his wings were still fragile from the incidents.

"Can I unbandage your tail?" Phandrin asked as Kwared paused before nodding, turning a bit to find the clip he hid in the fur of his tail. He hissed slightly as his tail was still matted, the clip tugging his fur.

Phandrin grabbed the end, undoing the bandages as Kwared watched. Phandrins chest tightened as the indents in the fur, a bend in the bone underneath as he took the rest off.

"Is it broken-?" Phandrin asked, reaching over Kwared for a spray bottle and brush. Kwared shook his head, adjusting his tail.

"It's just permanently like that, from tests," Kwared shrugged, Phandrin nodding. He ran a hand over Kwareds tail, feeling the knots underneath as he frowned slightly. Kwareds hair was dry and very fluffy now, the color all back again.

"Alright, I'm gonna help un-matt it, but it might hurt a bit," Phandrin turned to Kwared again, waiting for the ok.

"You act like I can't handle a little pain," He snickered, Phandrin pausing. He knew Kwared could handle it just fine, but that didn't mean he should.

He sprayed down one part of Kwareds tail, dampening it and patting it down with soda. Kwared watched, Phandrin running the brush through- or trying to. He stopped at every knot and combed it out which caused the process to take a lot longer than they expected. Kwared would growl to himself every time Phandrin got too close to scarring, Phandrin having carefully brush around it. He took the same process with the piercings.

Once Phandrin finished, he smiled to himself patting down Kwareds tail with he towel until it was fluffy again. Kwared jumped up quickly with a grin, wagging it behind him. With how fluffy it was now it looked much more elegant, Phandrin clapping as Kwared pulled him up.

"This is amazing darling, I actually feel refreshed! I haven't had the energy to clean up like this is a while," Kwared smiled, practically shaking him. Phandrin nodded, his chest tightening at seeing Kwared so happy about something so minimal.

"Darling? And we can do this more if you'd like, I love doing it, it makes me very happy to take care of you," Phandrin hummed, patting Kwareds ears back. Kwareds eyes shut momentarily as Phandrin grinned. Aliskan was right, even if he was discreet.

"Yes, I wanna take care of you though next time. I feel great," Kwared leaned his head on Phandrins shoulder, Phandrin laughing slightly. They were supposed to go down to see Kertia soon, and hopefully nobody would mess with Kwared, since he was in such a good mood.

"Sure, for now we gotta get ready to go and see Kertia," Phandrin motioned, running a hand through Kwareds hair proudly. It was so clean and un-tangled, so it just swayed with Kwareds movement. it also seemed longer now, reaching Kwareds mid to lower back.

Kwared nodded pulling back as he inspected his outfit, then glancing at Phandrins.

"We should wear a fall theme," Kwared nodded to himself, running to Phandrins closet. Phandrin raised a brow, following as Kwared threw a bunch of clothes at him suddenly.

"You're clothes are slightly big on me because you're like 9 feet tall, but it'll just add to the Halloween-y vibe!" Kwared smiled, holding up one of Phandrins fall jackets. It was a pale grey trench coat that connected at the collar.

Phandrins eyes lit up as he almost dropped the clothes, gripping them tighter as Kwared jumped.

"You're a fan of Halloween?" He asked quickly, Kwared nodding ecstatically.

"I celebrate in my dorm every year, just not outwardly cause I didn't have anyone to celebrate with, but now I have you!" Kwared nodded, holding up a light brown sweater vest to Phandrin, trying to think of what he should wear.

"I love Halloween so much," Phandrin hummed, taking the sweater vest as Kwareds tail wagged behind him, handing Phandrin the rest of an outfit.

"Good, because I go all out, even if it was alone-," Kwared paused, Phandrin raising a brow as he imagined the boy sitting in his dorm, surrounded by dollar store decorations and empty soda or energy drink cans, covered in a sheet with the eyes cut out.

"We should dress up and go out with the group this year, if theyre a fan of halloween. I know Ace is, and you should ask the others," Kwared suggested, turning and taking a random outfit from the closet for himself. Some of Kwareds clothes were in his closet as well yet Kwared still took his.

"I'm sure they would, and I'll gladly dress up! Holly always wanted to but Metis wasn't very festive so we never ended up doing it," Phandrin shrugged as Kwared scoffed, throwing a scarf at Phandrin.

"Another reason for her to get snagged by a car-," Kwared growled, Phandrin agreeing as he laughed slightly. Kwared went into the washroom quickly to change, Phandrin changing in his bedroom.

They both came back to the Livingroom, Kwared adjusting the neck and sleeves of what he wore. He'd taken a tan colored turtleneck, black jeans, and a black trench coat with a slit down the back for his tail. It moved behind him in waves, proud, even without the bandages.'

He'd given Phandrin a orange-ash sweater with an over vest and tan waist coat and jeans. He had a thin crème colored scarf around his neck, Kwared just liking how it looked. Phandrin nodded, smiling at Kwareds appearance in his slightly big clothes. He noted the collar being looser now, on the last ring since the fabric likely would've choked Kwared.

"Chishero was right about those marks not being very noticeable, maybe I should've put them a bit higher," Phandrin hummed, tugging Kwareds collar and turtleneck down. Kwared sputtered, Phandrin having tugged him forward as his ears pressed back. He could feel the new proximity, Phandrins breath where he recalled it a few nights ago as he yanked back.

"You can't just say those things- jesus-," Kwared waved his hands in front of him, Phandrin letting go of the ring of his collar with a laugh. Kwareds tail was whipping behind him, Phandrin noticing red that formed, crawling up Kwareds neck. He noticed Kwared didn't blush or get red faced easily, but he always got the hot flush under his collar when he got embarrassed.

"I got kind of mad when Chishero grabbed you and did that, but now he knows," Phandrin shrugged, Kwared scoffing as he was tugged to the doorway. Phandrin was smiling to himself smugly, Kwared tugging his sleeve out of his grasp and gripping his hand instead.

"Jealous goat," Kwared mused, Phandrin raising a brow as he glanced back. Kwared got a strong sense, Phandrin slowing as he practically grinned down at him.

"I may not be a predator, but I drove his face into a carpet with one tug,"
