I looked out the window, the sun shining brightly in the sky, not a cloud in sight.

It's such a beautiful day.

"Lauren!" Jake called, banging on the bathroom door, snapping me our of the trance I was currently in

I groaned, quickly turning the water off, wrapping a towel around myself, and climbing out of the shower.

I ran my fingers through my damp hair, getting the knots out, before opening the door and flashing him a fake smile.

"I didn't sneak out the window, if that's what you're worried about, so you can calm down now" I said sarcastically, pushing past him.

"I never said you did" he said frowning, slightly confused

"Oh come on" I laughed bitterly "I've seen that look before" I added, gesturing to the look on his face, as I rolled my eyes.

"What look?" He asked Playing dumb.

"The 'stop this destructive behaviour' look" I said mockingly, tilting my head to the side, watching his reaction closely, as I waited for a answer

"Actually....." he started, trying to think of an excuse "I....just didn't want you to use all the hot water" he said with a proud smile. "Yeah...that's it" he muttered confidently, although I could tell he wasn't convinced of his own lie.

I raised an eyebrow, crossing my arms over my chest. Yeah right. Does he think I'm an idiot or something?

"You're a terrible liar Jakey" I said rolling my eyes.

"I'm not lying!" He defended, a bit to quickly.

"You keep telling yourself that" I said sarcastically. Mockingly patting his shoulder as I walked into my room.

I looked over my shoulder Catching a slight glimpse at his face, all confidence now completely gone.
