JASON'S POV:
both our heads snapped in the direction in which the cough came.
"What?" I snapped slightly, raising my eyebrow at Luke.
"I'm gonna head off in a minute, can I talk to you for a sec." He said
"Yeah, sure." I nodded, standing up, helping Lauren to her feet. "I'll be back in a minute, watch some tv" I said, handing her the remote and walking out the room.
"You like her" he asked, although it came out more like a statement.
"....yeah" I admitted, never feeling this way about a girl before.
"Well if you really care about her, then you'd get her far away from here" he instructed.
"Why?" I frowned
"Marcus Know about her" he said flatly "I dont know how but he does. That's why I came here, to see if it was true.....and to warn you" he added
I swallowed a lump in my throat "so..?" I breathed
"Remember what you did to his brother when He fell in love with a human?" He asked
I stayed silent.
"You need to get her away from here." He repeated
"I spoke to the FBI a couple days ago" I started
"What are you, stupid!" He snapped "they can track you down, and then that's the end of you're freedom. You'll be going to prison. For life! Possibly even get the death sentence." He ranted
"Actually, we came to an agreement" I explained. He frowned. "I took out someone that they wanted dead just as much as I did. I serve 3 months in Prison and then I'm cleared of everything else" I added.
"An how do you know that they weren't lying?" He questioned.
"I dont, but I can read their thoughts when I'm close enough. Plus If they are lying then I'll just have to break out again, wont I?" I smirked.
"An what do you plan on doing with her?" He asked.
I sighed "I'll take her back. I have too dont I? I'll leave her with her family and she'll be safe." I said, my heart feeling like it was about to be ripped out.
"And if she wont let you?" He challenged
"I got her here against her will. I can take her back" I snapped.
"When?" He asked
I turned back to look at the bedroom door. Knowing that today was the last day I had with her.
"tonight" i said firmly, turning back to face him.
