I walked into the house, chucking my bag on the sofa as I did so.

"Laurs! Is that you?!" Jake called from the kitchen.

"Yeah!" I replied, leaning against the doorframe "What's up?" I added crossing my arms.

"Why are you home so early? Did you get in a fight?" He questioned raising his eyebrow

"No!" I defended "It's good to know you think so highly of me though" I laughed, opening the fridge

"Can you blame me? You don't have the best track record" he said, looking over at me.

"God, you sound like mom" I groaned rolling my eyes as I sat on the counter top.

"Whatever, I'm going out, are you gonna be alright by yourself?" He asked standing by the kitchen door.

"I'm a big girl jake. I'll be fine." I said mockingly, crossing my arms over my chest.

"I don't doubt it" he joked smiling slightly

"Dickhead" I laughed, shoving him out the room.

"Oh and if I'm not back in time do you mind picking lila up from school?" He asked turning to face me.

"Im guessing I don't I really have a choice, do I?" I asked raising my eyebrow

"No, no you don't" he said smiling

"Uggh whatever" I said rolling my eyes and continued to push him towards the door.

"So you'll do it?" He asked looking over his shoulder at me.

"Yes, yes I'll do it. She's my little cousin. Now go you jerk" I said smiling slightly

"You're amazing. I'll see you soon ok, don't do anything I wouldn't...." he started turning to face me, stopping me from pushing him out the front door. "Or you would.....just don't do anything" he added smiling.

"Just get out!" I laughed punching him gently in the arm.

"Ouch!" He laughed "Ok ok I'm going. Love you" he called.

"Yeah yeah!" I said sarcastically as I shut the door.
