"Morning" jake said from the kitchen as I walked downstairs.

"Dickhead" I muttered as I walked past

"Oh you're in a good mood" he mocked.

"Phone" I ordered, holding my hand out

"What?" He asked frowning

"I know it was you texting me last night" I accused

"No I wasn't" he said confused

"Your a terrible liar, yes you were, phone, now" I said sternly.

"What have you taken?" He asked

"Nothing!" I snapped "I know it was you" I added

"I wasn't texting you" he said slowly

"Then you wouldn't mind me checking, would you?" I asked raising for my eyebrow

"Fine, look, but your not going to find anything" he said handing it to me

"Thank you" I said sarcastically, as I began to look through it.

I sighed as I handed it back to him

"See nothing" he said putting it in his pocket.

"Yeh yeh, whatever" I said running my hand through my hair.

"I think you owe someone an apology" he said smugly

"I think you need to get off your high horse" I shot back sarcastically.

"Funny. That's funny" he said matching my tone

"I know" I said grabbing an apple from the fruit bowl

"That's all you're having?" He asked raising his eyebrow

"I'm not hungry" I shrugged

He eyed my warily

"What!?" I snapped "I'm not" I said defensively.

"OK ok" he said backing off

"Thank you" I muttered

"Anyway, what was so bad about these texts anyway?" He asked turning to face me.

"What?" I asked frowning

"You seem pretty wound up about them, why?" He asked

"Nothing" I said shrugging

"why did you think it was me?" He asked.

"They signed it with J" I explained

"That could be anyone " he said trying to play it cool, although I could tell he was hiding something

"What's wrong?" I asked frowning

"Nothing" he said "can you tell lila breakfast Is ready" he said changing the subject.

I frowned "Yeah" I said after a couple of seconds, and walking away.
