Jihoon was very passionate with what he does. Even though people around him discourages him that singing and composing wouldn't get him nowhere, his passion for singing never wavers off especially when Seungcheol came to his life. His passion for everything he loves become stronger because Seuncheol supported him endlessly. Seungcheol has tried helping him with composing lyrics from time to time and has even rooted for him when he sings at their local cafe concert. Seungcheol has done everything to support and show Jihoon how proud he is with his passion and Jihoon, he was thankful for everything that is Seungcheol.

It was at the time when Jihoon least expects his heart to be broken. He wouldn't have thought that his heart could broke in just another day at their lives but it did.

"Cheol? Are you ready? We're leaving in 5 minutes." Jihoon called out to Seungcheol.

They were about to leave to got to Seungkwan's cafe for another basking moment. Whenever, Jihoon would call to him from the door by that time Seungcheol would come running out from their room in a hurry but he this time, he didn't.

Jihoon who was getting a bit impatient, took his shoes off and leans his guitar on the wall. Jihoon entered the apartment again and walked to their room to find that Seungcheol was not present in the room not. He continued to look around and he wasn't even in the balcony either. He checked the laundry room but he wasn't there either. Their dog who was outside their bathroom door was scratching it as if it was pointing Jihoon where his boyfriend was. Jihoon took their dog in his hands and hugged him. Jihoon who was supposed to be knocking has stopped midway in doing so when he overheard Seungcheol was talking to someone in the bathroom.

The bathroom walls were not that thick so he could very well hear Seungcheol's voice from tue bathroom. He knew that he wasn't supposed to eavesdrop on Seungcheol's conversation with whoever it was on the phone but there was this tingling feeling in his gut that tells him to go on and listen, because it was especially a very suspicious call to take on the bathroom.

Why was Jihoon suspicious of Seungcheol all of a sudden? Does it have to do with Seungcheol excusing himself to take a call? Or the tome when Seungcheol hurriedly delete the messages from a certaing contact when Jihoon wants to borrow his phone? Or was it the fact that Seungcheol has been working overtime for quite some time due to his boss' request?

Maybe Jihoon was just a bit paranoid because Seungcheol hasn't been home a lot for quite some time. Due to his boss's request for him to overtime, Seungcheol has no choice but to stay out late at his job. Seungcheol did explain to hom that the small company he works at is on the rocks and are letting go some employees. Maybe Jihoon was just too paranoid so he wavered the thought off his mind and was supposed to walk away when his ears starts to ring with Seungcheol's words.

Over the phone he heard Seungcheol said,
"I'llsee you on Monday, Hun. I love you too." Jihoon didn't know if he was just hearing things or his mind was making things up because he has been paranoid for months. However, it ached his heart and their dog somehow felt that jihoon was feeling uncomfortable that he suddenly whined in his arms.

Jihoom heard the water of their bathroom sink opened as if trying to mask the talks still. He bit his lips and continued hugging their dog before leaving the front of the bathroom door.

He sat himself on the couch and just sat there.

He couldn't think straight.

He didn't know what to think about.

All sorts of ideas were entering his mind and he didn't know what to do. He let their dog go from his arms and placed his head on his hands, trying to get a hold of himself. Their dog sat beside him, placing his head on Jihoon's leg as if he was trying to comfort him. His eyes starts to water from overthinking that he couldn't help but shed a tear.

"Ji?" Jihoon overheard Seunghceol calling him. He gathers himself collectively, wiping away the few tears that shed his eyes and looked back at him.

"Hey." Jihoon said.

Seungcheol must have noticed how his eyes were red because he suddenly took a seat next to him and hug Jihoon. Their dog growled at Seungcheol for a while but he doesn't seem to mind him. Jihoon lay his head on Seungcheol's shoulder and let a few tears more, shed.

"Are you okay, Ji?" Seungcheol asked him. He nodded as a sign that he's well and hugged Seungcheol back tightly.

He wants to feel the beating of his heart for him like before but why doesn't he feel anything? Why doesn't he hear anything? Why doesn't cheol's heart beat like it was before?

"Ji. What's going on? Why are you crying?" Seungcheol asked him once again but Jihoon couldn't contain the feelings inside him that he bursts out crying even more.

Jihoon was scared. He was very scared that Seungcheol's love for him has fades that he gre anxious. The thought the Seungcheol would leave him when he's the only one he's got was driving him crazy. He didn't want to lose him and he wish that the feeling would be mutual.

"Hey, Ji. I'm here. I promise, I'm here." It hurts him more when Seungcheol said that because he wasn't sure anymore if it's true. He wasn't sure if his promise will get a hold of him.

Jihoon seemed to collect himself, few minutes after breaking down. He let himself rest in
Seungcheol's warm hug.

"Cheol." He called out to him. Seungcheol hummed in response as he gently ran his fingers in Jihoon's hair as he soothes and comforts him.

"Please, don't leave me." Seungcheol seemed surprised with what Jihoon said but nodded as a response. He took Jihoon's hand and planted a kiss on it.

"I promise you. I won't leave your side." Maybe Seungcheol shouldn't have made that promise.

Promises are meant to be broken, and as Seungcheol broke his promise, Jihoon broke along with it.
