"Jihoon?" Jihoon overheard someone calling him from behind. He smiled after seeing Seokmin.
"Hey," he said, embracing him with a hug.
"I'll miss you, Ji," Seokmin said. He tapped his back gently and said it back, "I'll miss you too, Seokmin. I promise to visit now and then, though." He felt Seokmin nodded so he let go of the hug.
"You should visit. I'll miss my composing friend." He sulkily said. Jihoon smiled at him.
"Don't worry. I won't forget you, guys." Jihoon said lovingly.
"Will you go to Kwan's Cafe later?" Seokmin asked him.
"Maybe." Jihoon shrugged.
"You should. At least before you go, you should sing us a song. I heard you playing your guitar again." Seokmin said with a smile.
"I don't know, Seok," he said unknowingly.
"Think about it, okay? This could be the part where you could gain closure even without him and reconciliation with the passionate artist inside you." Seokmin smiled at him, but Jihoon was still unsure.
"I have to leave. My shift starts in 20 minutes." Seokmin said looking over his phone for the time.
"Keep safe, okay?" Ji-hoon said
"Yeah, you better be there later, okay?" Seokmin said looking at him with wide eyes as he walks out the door.
"I won't promise you that." Seokmin glared at him before leaving and he laughed as he bid goodbye.
He stared at the door once he left and Seokmin was right. He should play before he goes. He went to this place to freely create, make, and sing music that he loves, he should leave singing the music that pained him to do.
One by one the boxes in his apartment were loaded in the truck. Jihoon's sister would be in the new apartment she got him in the city to help him unpack so he won't have any trouble staying for the night. So, he was settled.
After loading all the boxes in the truck and thanking the movers who helped him. They left him all alone, in an empty apartment. He took one last look at it and gave it its last goodbye. He took the key out of his pocket and placed it on the marble countertop.
This apartment has been through a lot with Jihoon. It has felt the warmth of love and happiness Jihoon and Seungcheol gave off.
It has felt the cold, gloominess, and misery Jihoon has been through when Seungcheol left him. It has felt the tears and heard the weeps of Jihoon for a long time. It's hard to say goodbye but it's for the best, and for one last time, he took another glance at the apartment's door and left with his bag on his shoulder and his guitar case in hand.
He'll miss this small town. Jihoon took a stroll around the town for a while before resting himself at the park where he and Seungcheol used to meet to walk Beol. There were a lot of memories in this town. Both joyful and unfortunate. Unforgettable and regrettable memories. This town is what made him who he is today and a part of him was reluctant to leave but he has to. For his sake, he has to.
