RED THREAD

Alec, Lydia, and Wan sat at a coffee restaurant conversing and laughing.

'Will be right back, do you care for some stuffed with geisha bread?' Lydia asked Wan with a smile on her face.

' No thanks', Wan said as he was immersed with his phone

'Awnn you can take it home Wan' Lydia said as she grabbed Wan's phone

'Hey...Give it back' Wan told Lydia

'If you were not losing concentration, I won't have seized your phone.....' Lydia said as she returned the phone with a pouty mouth

'I hope you are getting one for me too' Alec said to Lydia

Lydia made a funny face and told Alec to go get one by himself. Alec and Wan laughed it out, they talked about business and Alec asked about his nightmares. Wan told him he still hasn't gotten over it.

'Okay if I get this straight you named your figure like 'frost' in your dreams? Alec asked smiling.

'Dude it's not funny, this is a baby I am always nursing at night which steals away my sleep and peace of mind' said Wan with a frown.

'Okay bro am sorry ( he smiled) .. you mean the 'frost' never said a word to you? Like at-all in your dreams? Alec asked.

'Well not a word, just this frosty looking man looking like me, I can say just like a doppelgänger... I feel so cold from inside and I couldn't move only to disgrace myself with tears....then I started running like flash...' Wan said as he covered his face.

Alec comforted him that everything would be alright and he should keep on with the therapy sessions that he normally visits. Lydia came with three bags of stuffed geisha bread and handed each to them. They talked for a while and they decided to leave for a book store across the cafe.

Lydia searched the food catalog while Wan and Alec searched through the history books catalog.

'Hey!! watch where you are going' yelled Wan.

' Easy, you don't have to yell at me, you stepped on my foot when you moved back' said Simoni.

Simoni came to the book store to get some note pads for her writings which she does for fun. Wan accidentally bumped into her while she wanted to pass for the history shelf.

Wan looked at her angrily and suddenly realized he has seen her somewhere.

' Ooooh yeah now I remember, you are that woman which almost got hit by my car, I guess not looking properly whenever you move is a hobby' Wan said as he stared at her

'It is very clear you have a foul mouth and you lack home training.. you should be taught properly on how to talk to people ..(she glanced at Alec and Lydia who quickly came to extinguish the tensed atmosphere ) I hope you guys are not here together, this man here needs to be taught manners...well anyways I am out of here' Simoni said as she left the store.

'It's alright calm down' Alec said as he pats Wan

'I am done here, you guys can meet me at the car park' Wan said as he left the store angrily.

Alec and Lydia looked at each other, then Alec paid for the books as they rushed to join Wan.
