SIMONI

A BEEM OF LIGHT

Simoni was out at a restaurant, where she was sitting while waiting for a business client. Soon later, the business meeting ending and has Simoni was about to leave for the entrance her purse fell from her hand as she was trying to place it inside her bag.

While trying to bend to get her purse, Lydia walked past her unnoticed with her daughter. They both weren't aware of their presence either and Simoni stood up after taking her purse and left for her car outside.

'Your dad is always slow and forgetful .. why did he have to forget our meeting time... I guess he should be here soon anyways' said Lydia as she pats her daughter.

'Simoni? .. wait.. is that.. is that not Simoni?? Simoni!!' Wan yelled as he was waiting to cross over to the other sde.

'What? Wan?' Simoni said to herself as she rushed into her car and drove off.

Wan rushed as soon as he was ready to cross and continued shouting Simoni's name. Lydia saw a glance of Wan running back, then she quickly went outside. Wan went back to his car and Lydia rushed carrying her daughter.

'Wan! Wan! What is it? Where the hell are you going?' Asked Lydia

Wan told her to go home that they would meet later. Lydia was angry and called a taxi to drop her home. Wan traced Simoni to her house but he was not allowed to see her.

After staying at the gate for two hours, Madini came to him.

'(sighs) what are you still doing here young man?' Asked Madini

'Madini ... please just let me see her' said Wan

After a little while, a loud noise was heard from within the house, a maid ran out to call Madini and said;

'Sir.... It is ma..dam.. she she

Wan ran inside the house and saw Simoni lying down on the floor with the twin crying by her side. He quickly carried her on his back and Madini asked the maid to look after the twin as he followed them to the hospital.

After arriving at their family hospital, the doctor came back to reassure them that Simoni was not in any life-threatening situation and that after some minutes they would be allowed to see her. This brought a deep relief feeling to Wan as he fell on his knees sobbing. Madini went to him and hugged him.

'She is fine ... you don't need to be sad anymore' said Madini

'Madini... I'm not sad... I'm just happy.. happy she is going to be alright' said Wan

After a few minutes Alec came and Wan hugged him. He told him how Lydia called him about him running after something and he guessed he met Simoni and he later went to the Mansion but the maid told him about Simoni.

The doctor came back after and allowed them to the room Simoni was staying in.

'What are you doing here?' Simoni asked as she saw Wan

'Simoni... easy my dear...(Madini helped her sit up) Wan brought you here.

Alec and Madini left Wan with Simoni as she faced the other side of the room.

Lydia was furious at home and didn't know what was happening. She thought Wan was trying to play a trick on her. Lydia picked up her phone and made a call to someone, she requested for both Wan and Alec's movement to be tracked and reported to her as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, at the hospital, Simoni refused to speak to Wan. Madini went to the doctor to speak about her sudden incident.

'Doctor, what exactly happened to her?' Asked Madini.

'She has been stressed lately, and I can diagnose from her test results that she has been abusing sleeping tablets too. This resulted in her fainting... from her previous medical record which I received from Greece, she was being treated for insomnia' said the Doctor.

'Yes that is true but I don't know she is still on medications...I asked her about it but she said she was fine now' said Madini

'Yes she was actually better but like I said, she has been stressed lately and this gradually brought her sleeplessness. She must have thought overusing the pills will make her sleep. Presently, we have flushed out the pills from her system, she just needs to use the new prescription as prescribed and she will be back in good shape' said the Doctor.

Two hours later, Lydia received news on Alec and Wan's whereabouts. She rushed out of the house with her daughter. She fought with other drivers on her way, trying all possible means to beat the traffic. After her driving struggle, she resulted in a road accident.

Lydia was rushed to the same hospital Simoni was and Alec saw them as they were brought into the emergency room while waiting at the reception area. Alec alerted Wan and he rushed down with Simoni who was later placed on a wheelchair for easy movement. They were told to wait for them outside the ICU. A few moments later the Doctor came back and requested a blood transfusion for Lydia's daughter. Wan offered but his blood was not a match. He was surprised and asked the doctors to look for other options. Simoni even offered to check if she could match but she was not allowed to be a donor due to her health condition. Alec offered to be tested and his blood was a match. A few hours later, Lydia demanded to see her daughter, after several arguments with everyone present, she was allowed to sit outside awaiting news on her daughter.
Lydia saw Simoni but she couldn't worry much. All she was thinking of was the safety of her daughter.
