Trigger warning: mentions of abuse
Jake always thought it was war between the humans and the giants.
Like, humans were at the giant's mercy. That's how Jake saw it, especially why he doesn't like giants so much.
He lived by that philosophy.
So...when he was finally regaining consciousness as he slowly opened his eyes, he didn't really expect to wake up to hands holding him gently.

Joshua didn't expect to see his "step brother" fall out the second he looked up at him. Was he really that intimating? He didn't know why but he quickly found himself rushing towards the small figure. Cupping him in his hands and making sure he laid flat on his back so his brain could get the oxygen it was missing.
The boy woke up almost immediately as he blinked repetitively. He sat up quickly only to be faced with a giant face staring right back in him. He immediately fell back with a whimper.
Jake held his breath, this wasn't his day.
The giant being brought him closer to his face, Jake gulped as he tried desperately to control his trembling.
"Your..Jake huh?" The teen clicked his tongue.
Jake looked down at the teen's hand as he nodded, embarrassed from his fall.
He focused his attention on the his "brother's" hand. Focusing on the lines on them.
Joshua could sense the tenseness in the small human. He hesitantly slipped the child into one of his palms, which freaked the smaller teen out a bit. Josh quietly shushed him, as he felt his finger get close to Jake's hair.
He gently rubbed it to calm his newly known brother.
Jake was scared as he saw the finger, thinking it would crush him or cause harm, but it did nothing but comfort.
He hummed softly in content.
His father had never been to good with him, always screaming at him and hitting him to the point where it was unnecessary if he did something wrong. He didn't know positive touch.
Joshua slowly got up from his bent down position, as he held Jake to his chest.
"How old are you, bud?"
'Wait why would he need to know that?! Um-maybe I should just tell him.'
"F-fifteen.."
"Okay, I'm sixteen."
Great, that means Josh was now a older brother, and he was probably in charge of them.
Well, maybe it wouldn't be too bad, Jake shaking had slowed down as he already appeared to be sleepy.
Josh cradled him to his chest, as his eyes darted to the other side of the airport. Where the heck did their parents go?
He finally found them, they were all the way across the airport. He sighed, he really didn't want to run, Jake would be terrified. He decided it would be best to just walk, his mom would understand. Before he left, he quickly picked up the luggage Jake had dropped and placed it in his pocket. Jake was too sleepy to really do much. (Not that he could do much in this situation anyway.)
Joshua started to walk with a little speed to get over to the other side. But not too much that it would scare his little brother.
