(Y/n) Pov

With quick steps I walked along the corridors in the direction the map led me. Eventually I arrived where I wanted to go. I was surprised that I had not met a single guard on the way, but that was fine with me. I was still wondering why the man had let me go after I had listened to his "favorite song". And what did that mean?

Now I approached the door and pressed the handle down. Carefully I pushed the door open and entered. Strangely, there was no one to be seen. I walked to the center of the room where there was a glass column. In front of it was a small switch pull. I raised my hand to press the button that would open the column and I could take out the contents. As soon as I did that, the pillar opened, but there was also a loud howl that was similar to a fire alarm. Whereby I knew exactly that this was NOT the fire alarm.

Now I had to hurry. I went to the pillar and looked inside. There it was. A small jar that had the appearance of being empty. But I knew better. I knew that in that vessel was that which was to wipe out half of America. My hand went forward and I reached for the jar. However...it simply slipped through it. Confused, I looked at my hand. Was this a trick ? Again I tried it. But again it just slipped through the jar and the glass of the column. That could not be. Again and again I tried but it did not work. Neither with my right nor with my left hand. Confused, I stumbled back and suddenly I was standing again BEFORE the control pull. But how did that work ? How could I walk THROUGH the pullt ? What was happening to me here ? Was this an optical illusion ? Was I hallucinating ?

Now I heard voices and loud footsteps. I had to get out of here ! But not without the jar. Again I ran to the column and was about to reach for it when I heard a familiar voice. "(Y/n) there you are!" I turned around and saw Bucky in the doorway. Behind him, with his back to us, was Steve, holding his shield protectively in front of him. "What are you doing here?" I asked, puzzled. "Nat told us that we had to get you out." Bucky explained. "I would have been fine on my own." I snorted. "Oh believe me (Y/n), if I told you, you wouldn't have been able to handle what is coming." Steve interjected. "Can we please go now?" he then asked. "No! The weapon. Here it is." I stopped him and pointed to the column. "You really found it! Well done." Bucky said and came up to me in amazement before grabbing the jar and putting it in his breast pocket. Then he ran back to the door. Loud voices could be heard outside. "Let's go!" Steve urged us and we ran.

As soon as we turned the first corner we were met by guards. Steve quickly raised his shield and protected us from the shots. "What now?" he shouted into the noise of the bullets hitting the shield. Panicked, Bucky looked around. "Okay, I have an idea. Steve Operation 43." he then said. "Are you sure?" the blond wanted to know and his friend nodded in confirmation. "All right. Go ahead." Steve replied, "What in the world is Operation 43?" "Do you trust me (Y/n)?" Bucky wanted to know. "Um...I...I think so. Why?" "Ok, good. Then please stand there in front of the window." he ordered. "Um...ok." I just said and did as I was told. Now Bucky raised his machine gun and pointed it at me. "Bucky, what are you doing?" I yelled, but by then it was too late. Bucky pulled the trigger and his shots mingled with those of the guards. I closed my eyes. Ready for the impact of the bullets on my skin. But suddenly I heard a clang. I opened my eyes and turned around. Bucky had not aimed at me, but at the glass pane behind me.

No sooner had I turned back to Bucky than he ran at me and I opened my eyes wide. In the next moment he jumped off and grabbed me in flight, so that I lay with my belly on his shoulder and hung on him like a potato sack. "Hold on tight!" he yelled and I clawed at the back of his black vest. Now we flew outside through the window and all I saw was...depth. Nothing far and wide. We were flying through the air at about 12 meters and below us was just air and then the ground. How in the world were we going to survive this ? As expected, we were now no longer flying forward, but much more downward. This would never work in life! We were getting faster and faster until I had the feeling of sitting in an airplane in which the pilot had forgotten to close the windows. "FUCK!" I screamed when we were only a few meters from the ground. Again I closed my eyes.

Suddenly there was a *rump* and the wind in my face was gone. Slowly I opened my eyes. But unlike what I expected, we both seemed to still be complete. "You can let me go now (Y/n)." Bucky said now. "What? Where? How ? Oh, yes..." I stuttered to myself and slowly let myself slide off his shoulder. "But how?" I asked, puzzled. "Super Soldier. Remember?" he answered and I nodded.

Then Bucky drew his gun again and pressed on his ear. "Ok Steve. You can come." he announced to his friend through the earpiece. Less than three seconds later Steve flew through the window. Well, rather through the frame where there used to be a window pane, in which a few guards appeared shortly after. Quickly Bucky shot at them and they backed away. Steve, in the meantime, had clamped down on his shield and now flew down, with the shield facing the ground. With a loud bang, he landed a few feet away from us. "Ouch. I hate Operation 43." he said and I was glad that he said anything at all after that impact... Now he straightened up and ran over to us. "I suggest we get out of here." he said and raised the sign above us. Bucky turned towards the building and fired a few more times while we ducked back to the jet.

There we were already expected. "There you are at last! Come on, we have to go." Tony shouted at us. We quickly ran up the loading ramp, which closed a few seconds later. "(Y/n). Are you okay ? Are you hurt?" asked Pietro as soon as he saw me and rushed towards me. Wanda also came running over to me. "I'm fine." I tried to reassure the twins. They reassured each other a few more times before taking their seats.

"What do you think? You could have been killed! Do you know how worried I was?" Natasha, who had been standing quietly until now, snapped at me. "But I'm not. So what's the problem?" I returned annoyed. "Where the problem is ? WHERE THE PROBLEM IS ?! (Y/N) YOU HAVE DESTROYED THE WHOLE MISSION. That's not how it works here. We work together. As a team." she yelled and everyone flinched. Everyone except me. "Oh yeah? And is it part of being a team that you ignore each other? Besides, who said she could die any day? Do you think it's different for me?! I could be sitting at home and a book could fall on my head, which, if it goes badly, will break my neck !" I yelled back now, ignoring the clearly confused looks of the others.

"That's something else (Y/n) ! You shouldn't have been here at all. You just went along. Get it through your stupid head that I'm trying to protect you!" "You don't have to protect me, damn it! I'm old enough to take care of myself." "Oh, yeah? And what if Bucky and Steve hadn't come? What then huh ?" she asked, raising her eyebrows. "Then I would have come out another way." "Yeah, right, and I'm Santa Claus." she returned ironically and pissed off at the same time. "Judging by the hair color, it's more like Rudolph." Pietro joked and caught a nasty look from Natasha."Oh god damn it fuck you!" I yelled, walking over to Bucky, reaching into his breast pocket and pulling out the jar. Then I turned around and held it out to Nat. "Here, get happy with this!" I said and pressed it into her hand. I briefly touched her hand. Only now I noticed that I could touch things again. Well, maybe it was just a hallucination.

I sat down next to Pietro and crossed my arms in front of my chest. Natasha looked puzzled at the small jar in her hand. "Is that..." she began. "Yes, Natasha, this is the virus. (Y/n) found it." Steve interrupted her. "How did you get it so easily? Wasn't it secured?" "I don't know. It just wasn't." I mumbled, shrugging my shoulders. However, I could imagine that it all had something to do with this strange man. She nodded briefly and then looked at me. But I only stared back with cold eyes. So she put the glass in a padded box and then sat down in her seat.

"Okay, now that everyone has calmed down and we have what we need...how about a cozy party night just between us?" Tony, who was sitting in the cockpit, wanted to know. Everyone nodded in agreement. Wanda leaned over to me. "But no Tequila for you." she said and winked. I just rolled my eyes. "What about Tequila?" Pietro wanted to know. "We'll be there in two hours." Tony announced. "Hello Earth to (Y/n) ? Are you still planning to answer me?" my buddy asked again. Wanda and I gave each other a meaningful look. "Hey not cool ! Why no Tequila ?!"
