Chapter 22

The elevator rattled as it shot up the shaft. Cast spoke to Entrapta before they got to the upper level. "Ok so no matter what is at the top possibly waiting for us we need to get to the ship as quickly as possible. Which way is it?" Entrapta looked down at her tablet. "It's -" before she could say anything the elevator came to a halt. The doors slid open to a corridor two guards standing outside spun round face to face with the two of them. "It's them. Grab them!" Catra launched herself towards the first kicking them in the side of the head and sending them flying into the other. "Run!" Catra and Entrapta made a break for it. "Calling all units we found the fugitives they're coming into sector 52a they're trying to get to the hanger bay!"
"Which way?" Catra asked Entrapta as they ran through the corridors of the main port. "Left!" They ran round the corner to another fork. "What now!" Entrapta looked at her tablet again. "Right then through the door and we should be there." When they turned the corner and energy blast was fired narrowly missing them. Catra grabbed Entrapta and ducked back round the corner. "Shit we need another way." Entrapta looked stressed. "Ok, ok let's see the other entrance is on the other side of the hanger." "Not good enough." Catra looked up and notice a vent. "Where does that go?" Entrapta smiled, "right above the ship." "Perfect"
Entrapta and Catra managed to get the vent open and jump inside just before the guards from round the corner caught up with them. With only a few minuets of crawling they were placed right above the ship. Catra removed the vent as quietly as possible and looked down. Guards were posted around the ship. Entrapta grabbed Catra with her hair and lowered the both of them down to the top of the ship. Entrapta opened the top hatch of the ship and went inside. Before Catra could a guard noticed her. "They got to the ship! Fire!" A field of blasts showered the ship and Catra locked the hatch. Running past the control room Catra screamed, "Entrapta get us out of here!" "It's gonna take a few minutes to boot up buy us some time!" Catra ran to the spot she hid the huns and grabbed a sub machine gun. "Entrapta open the back door!" The latches on the back door of the ship shifted and it swung open.
A battle of guns commenced Catra versus the twenty or so guards who were pining her down and there were only more to come. Shoot, duck, reload. Shoot, duck, reload. "Entrapta how we coming along with getting out of here!" "One more minute!" As Entrapta said this a guard with what looked like a mini gun arrived. "Holy-" Catra ducked and smashed the button to close the door. Catra ran into the control room. "We need to go NOW!" Entrapta pulled e lever and the ship started to lift of the ground in-front of them was a straight shot to daylight. Two guards stood in front of the ship with the same guns as before and they were reloading. Entrapta saw this and kicked the panel under the console a large cable dropped out and Entrapta grabbed it and plugged it into the console. Catra turned white, "Isn't that-" Entrapta spoke, "We're going to system jump." "From inside the hanger!" "You got a better idea." Catra didn't say anything. Entrapta flicked a couple switches and spoke "launch in 5,4,3,2-" "Just go!" Entrapta pressed a small button and they were out of there much faster than they arrived.

"Ahhhhhhhhh" Adora screamed in pain as the beast plunged its fist into her stomach. The beast had brought Adora out to the courtyard of the place she was being held prisoner. The beast was trying to release the full she ra in a more aggressive strategy. "Get up!" Adora spat out blood and turned to the beast. "No." The beast walked over and pull Adora to her feet and step back. "Again." Adora took her stance and threw a much weaker punch than she would have been capable of. The best dodged and kicked Adora sending her flying into the wall. "Ahhhhhh" "Pitiful, what happened to She Ra. The one who could level mountains with a single blow and stood in a sea of blood." Between breaths Adora spoke. "She's gone and I'm what's left."

"How far are we from Adora?" Entrapta looked up at Catra, "With our current course 10 minutes." Catra nodded. "I'm going to get the stuff ready. Then Catra remembered what Entrapta had said in the planetarium. "What did you exactly do to the GAX?" Entrapta's eyes sparkled with much more enthusiasm than normal for someone who almost died a couple minutia ago. "I'm short I added a stockpiling mechanic. It can take energy in from any nearby sources and use it as ammo." Catra thought for a moment, "That's actually really useful and I think I might have a plan."

As Catra and Entrapta lowered themselves out of orbit towards where the sensors were picking up the beasts energy signal the beast began to sense their presence. "Ahh it looks like your little friends are here." Adora lifter her head. 'Glimmer? Bow? Have they come to rescue me?' She thought. "Wait here I won't be long." Adora reached out a hand as if to say no but she was too injured to do anything.
Catra and Entrapta landed near the fort. The gate opened and the beast stepped. "You've arrived I was wondering how long it would take you-" before the beast could finish it's sent ace Catra threw a grenade that landed at the beasts feet. It exploded shrouding the beast in a cloud of black dust. "Entrapta set up the GAX!" Entrapta ran over to the side with the case in tow.
"Entrapta set up the GAX!" Catra's voice rang in Adora's ears like a bell and mustered all the strength to stand to her feet. "Catra."
When the dust cleared the beast stood unscathed. Catra immediately started furring from her machine gun aiming for the head. Click Click Click. Empty. Catra threw the gun on the floor pulled out an energy button and rushed the beast. The beast didn't move just stood there only readying a stance when Catra was a few meters away. Adora had managed to get to the gate and outside the fort. The first thing she saw was Catra jumping towards the beast and being throwing towards Entrapta in the blink of an eye. "Catra!!!!!!" Adora screamed. Something inside of Adora snapped. Her eyes began to glow gold and she could feel herself regaining most of her strength and more. She transformed into She-Ra and gold lighting shout out from her body. "You took me from my home, you tried to kill my family. And now I'm going to end you right here and now!" Although it couldn't be seen due to their helmet the beast smiled, "Ahh She-Ra I was wondering where you had gone." Adora gritted her teeth and ran towards the beast.
When they connect they started a battle of the ages punches and kick thrown in milliseconds energy of both black and gold struck the ground causing it to burn.
Entrapta ran over to Catra who was still recovering from the attack. "Catra are you ok?" Catra coughed up blood, "is the GAX ready?" Entrapta helped Catra to her feet, "yeah but"Catra pushed past her and headed for the weapon.
"She-Ra what would have happened if all those years ago we had stopped fighting and chosen to run the galaxy no. The universe alongside each other." The beast said while blocking and returning punches. "I'll kill you!" Adora or She-Ra couldn't process anything around her she was so filled with rage that she just kept fighting.
Catra adjusted the GAX until she had a clean shot and BANG. The gun fired hitting the beast in the centre of its back. As expected doing nothing. The beast glanced over their shoulder and fired a single shot of black energy at Catra. Turning and getting a single good hit at She-Ra sending her flying back. Adora lay on the floor and got to her feet ready for another attack but in that moment the beast did something strange.
It turned to face the desert and spoke. "I can see you just fine." Suddenly Adora remembered the meeting with Mica and what they saw and instinctively called out, "Catra!" She didn't know if she was trying to change the outcome or she did it because she remembered her doing it but she said it. Causing a series of events that would lead their past selves here.
The beast turned back to Adora and spoke "We're not finished here." Behind the beast Adora could see Catra waving pointing at the GAX. Adora only could gather one thing that she wanted her to do and readied herself.

15 minutes earlier
"Is there a limit to how much energy this can stockpile?" Entrapta shook her head, "No I made it so it could handle the equivalent of a small collapsing star!" Entrapta looked pleased with herself. "Ok so this is the plan. I'll get that things attention and hopefully they'll shoot some energy at me the gun will stockpile it and we use it against them." Entrapta looked concerned, "do you think that will be enough?" Catra answered, "I'll put most of my energy into it and if Adora is still-" Catra caught herself for a moment, "If Adora's still alive then we can you She-Ra energy on top of it." "And if that doesn't work." "If that can't even stop it, god help us."

15 minuets later
Adora clasped her hands together and used all the energy she had fire a single shot of pure golden energy. I flew across the battle feild narrowly missing the beast. Adora fell to her knees. The best spoke "Oh She-Ra if you could even land a hit it would do anything we are a perfect match destined to duel to the end of time. No single She-Ra can destroy me!"
"How about two!" Catra shouted standing behind a now glowing GAX it rattle with the power it had stockpiled of the course of the battle. The beasts eyes widened as CLICK. Catra pulled the trigger as all the energy in the gun was released at once sending a swirling beam of energy right towards the beast striking them in the chest and going through forming a giant hole. The beam then hit the fort/prison behind the beast and obliterated it in an instant.
The GAX fizzed and steamed as the beast fell to its knees raising a hand to it chest to realize that it was gone. With a final breath it spoke. "See you... in the next life...She-Ra" before falling the floor dead.
It was finally over.
