Adora woke up somewhere new. It was a square room with white walls and no windows. Adora looked across the room to see Catra sitting there staring at her. "What happened where are we." Micah was standing feeling one of the walls of the room. "We're in what's called a dreamscape it's part of a metaphysical plane that we can traverse to different points in time." Adora looked at Catra for help. "Don't look at me you think I understand this stuff." Micah turned around and crouched. "We haven't moved, we haven't actually left the room. This is all in our heads. Using your memories we can look at past present and future. I'm using you two since you have something to do with this the event will be at it's strongest in your minds." Micah turned away and started feeling the wall again. Catra laughed, "I swear every day keeps getting weirder." Catra and Adora stood up. "If I can find it, there we go." Micah pressed on the wall with both hands and pushed. The wall gave way and fell to the ground exposing the rest of the world. It was the Hoard right in the middle of it. Catra stepped back. "But this is..." Micah explained, "As I said we're in both your two memories, it starts at the beginning and the deeper we go the more recent it becomes. Then once past turns to future we can see what's really going on... Let's go."

Micah walked out into the Hoard. Catra and Adora following behind. Catra looked around "If this is our shared memories then the first thing we should see should be..." Catra saw something in the distance and started moving towards it. "Catra where are you going!" "I need to see this." Adora ran after Catra and turned a corner. Adora stopped. Catra was crouching next to what looked like a cardboard box in front of a door. Adora walked over and looked over Catra's shoulder. "Oh my lord, this is the cutest thing I have ever seen." It was Catra. Catra arrived at the Hoard as a kitten in a cardboard box and Catra was seeing it for the second time and so was Adora. A Hoard cruiser flew overhead engines roaring and baby Catra began to cry. Adora put a hand on Catra's shoulder. Suddenly the door next to them flew open and a clocked, masked woman stepped out. Adora and Catra turned to see Shadow Weaver looking right at them. They both stepped aside in silence amazed at what they were seeing. Shadow Weaver peered into the box with the crying kitten inside. Shadow weaver picked Catra up in her blanket and rocked her to sleep till she stopped crying. Shadow Weaver turned and headed back inside, closing the door behind her. "Shadow Weaver took me in." Catra slumped onto the wall behind her taking a seat. "What are you talking about we knew she took you in she told us when we were kids." Catra stared into dead space. "I know I just never believed it." Micah walked up to them. "We need to keep following your memories. What's next?" Catra and Adora looked at each other and smiled.

"We need to give you a name." A three-year-old Adora ran across the room to a box with blankets in it. With hands full of blankets Adora ran over and placed them on her bed while Catra sat looking around at the room. "This can be your bed," Adora said pointing at a nest she had made at the end of her bed out of blankets. "You will sleep on this end and I will sleep on this end." Catra continued to look around the room not focusing on Adora. Older Adora and Catra stood in the doorway watching this memory. Catra leaned her head on Adora's shoulder as they watched it unfold. Three-year-old Adora jumped in front of Catra startling her slightly. "What are we going to call you..." As Adora narrowed her eyes staring into Catra's eyes Catra copied her narrowing her eyes too. Adora glanced up at Catra's ears and narrowed her eyes further. "Cat... Cat...Cat...Ra...Catra...Catra!" Adora jumped back Catra's eyes widened. Adora being very dramatic said, "Catra I name you Catra." Older Catra laughed "Your so creative aren't you." "What I thought you liked your name." "I do," Catra said smiling. Micah moved forward into the next room picking up the pace. "We don't have time to reminisce." Catra rolled her eyes and followed Micah. Adora glanced back at the scene one more time then moved after the group.

Each room showed a new memory. The first training session, Adora's first loose tooth, Catra being a brat, Adora being an idiot, them being... them. The faster they moved the more recent they got. Adora finds the sword, Catra abandons her, princess prom, the failed portal, the arrival of Hoard Prime. Adora stood in the corridor of the Hoard Prime ship witnessing her fight with Catra after being chipped. "Catra I know your in there!" Adora spiralled into a daze of what could have happened that day staring watching. "Hey, you ok?" Adora turned to see Catra with her hand extended. "Come on no point re-living it now." Adora smiled and took her hand as they moved deeper. Micah spoke. "As we get closer to the present things are gonna feel pretty weird but just keep your head down and keep moving forward." As they moved deeper the time difference became shorter. A year, a month, a week, a day. They were in Micah's room putting their hands in the pot. The lights changed they weren't anywhere any more images of themselves flashed around them out of sync their reflections of their past closer and closer until it was a perfect mirror. Then it wasn't things seemed to happen in the reflections before they happened. Catra's reflection's ear twitched then Catra's did. "This is weird!" Micah shouted, "Just keep moving!"

A few moments later they were out. Black scorched rocky terrain stretched as far as the eye can see. The scene around them was appearing and disappearing rapidly like a hologram until it stabilized showing a ship in the distance. Mara's ship. Before them, Adora was on the floor in front of a tall dark figure draped in black cloth wearing a silver metal mask. However this Adora had a short hair cut at the shoulders, wore a white bomber jacket and a spacesuit underneath. She looked terrified. "What are you!" The tall figure spoke in a gravelly voice that made the group shudder as they heard it. "I... am...Mortem... I... am... death." The figure turned to face the group. Catra asked Mikah, "This is just the imagination right they can't see us." "Precisely." The figure looked a Catra and Adora in the eyes and spoke again. "I... can see you... just... fine." Adora went white and Catra froze Micah was confused, "But that's not possible..." Micah was cut off by the Adora lying on the floor. "Who are you talking to!" The figure turned back to Adora and answered. "Why... you... of course." Adora's eyes widened as she looked over at the group failing to make eye contact with any of them. "CATRA RUN!"
