Jotaro Kujo wasn't really a hugger. He slept up close to you in bed, (when he actually came to bed) since you fit snugly against the curve of his groin. Usually, he climbed in long after you, the gentle tug of his arm snuggling into your back, tangling his legs with yours and your letting your hair splay against his broad chest... You loved that feeling. His throaty mumbles about how warm you were beneath a tired smile, falling straight back to sleep in his arms... But he didn't exactly cling to you, that was for sure. He was loose, holding you at arms length.
Tonight, you hadn't felt him get into bed, but figured he was probably there, resting his body silently beside you. Switching in and out of sleepy consciousness, there was a slight rustle of sheets behind you, a light touch tickling you. Batting it away, you figured Jotaro would take the hint after a few swipes. But the nips to the back of your neck were persistent, getting sharper.
"Ow," you whispered, holding your neck. "JoJo, back off. I'm not interested when you're being too rough. Christ, you're like a fucking animal." Wriggling to get comfortable again, a slight shock jolted you, enough to make you jerk forward. Otoishi smirked, keeping his comments about you quiet.
"Man, Kujo's wife is dumb."
"Jotaro!" you hissed, gasping when you found an empty bed beside you. Unwrapping the duvet from your frame, you slowly left the comfort of your mattress. Backing away slowly, the floor boards beneath the carpet creaked a little under your feet until you hit a cupboard behind you. You took a deep breath, trying to keep calm as you looked round. There may well be an intruder, out to get Jotaro. Fumbling around at your back, your belongings clattered against the wooden surface in your desperate search for something to strike with, fearful that your stand might not be enough, especially if it just turned out to be a burglar. Swallowing hard, you just waited.
"You sure are dumb, lady!" it shouted, a bright light emanating from below the duvet, crackling and sending the bedside lamp into a dim strobe. "You thought that stiff husband of yours was nipping the back of your neck, didn't you, ya fuckin' broad?! Haha, gross!"
Drawing breath sharply, you slammed the back of your neck with your palm, embarrassed.
"What do you want?"
"To run Jotaro Kujo out of town! He ignored my warnings, I was coming for Josuke Higashkata - but then I thought I'd try my luck with you first instead!"
'Shit!' you thought, realising you had forgotten all about Jotaro's plan to stay out late ! You weren't someone who could be tricked easily, but this time he'd gotten the better of you. Some early bluffing was worth a try, maybe you could keep him in conversation just long enough until you thought of something."I'm not scared of you one bit."
Unplugging everything you could, it was no use considering the hotel Had automatic lighting. It was dangerous being so close to the sockets if that creep was using the grid to move.
Opening the door, you weren't surprised to see Josuke in his school uniform, but it sure was early. He appeared shocked, gasping at the sight of you.
"M-Mrs... Um- I mean, Y/N!"
"Morning Doll, sorry it's so early. Something happened last night," you said, unable to look the boy in the eye.
"C-Come in, Jotaro's in the kitchen."
Accepting his offer, you walked in, leaving your shoes neatly by his door and entering the kitchen down the hall.
"Oi, Josuke, what's taking you so long? It's 6:30 in the morning, who could possibly be-?"
His heart fluttered, almost stopping, when he saw how gloomy you looked. Standing up from the table, you were subject to his usual, grumpy stare. He however, was met with dull eyes.
"It came for me last night. That's why the power's out all over Morioh."
"What did you do?"
"Can I get you anything, Y/N?" his uncle interrupted. "Oh, uh... It's being heated on the stove, though-"
"A coffee would be lovely, Josuke. Milky with two sugars." Making eye contact with your lover, he was visibly irritated. "I did what I had to. Overloaded the shit out of the plug sockets and tripped the entire fucking grid.""Are you hurt?"
"No," you mumbled through a soft smile, appreciating the caring question."Do you want one Jotaro?"
There was no response, Jotaro's heart beating out of his chest so fast it was making his jumper bounce back and forth. Sweat began to bead up on his nose, his breath noticeably waning.
"JoJo?"
"Is he choking?" Josuke asked, preparing to get his stand out. Stiff as a board, the biologist's body went limp, no matter how well he tried to control it.
"Oh no, he gets like this sometimes." You left your chair, walking over to his aid. Placing your palms against his cheeks from behind, his young uncle watched in suspense. The older man was flushing, struggling to combat his involuntary attack. "He's having an episode."
Your husband was burning up quickly, so you swiped off his hat and ran your fingers through his ebony locks as a comfort.
"An episode...? Can I do anything?"
"Get me a cold cloth for his head, or he'll burn up and faint." Doing as he was told, Josuke took a clean tea towel and ran it under cold water, wringing it out quickly before passing it over to you. Thanking him, you placed the damp material over his brows, trying to cool him down a little. "Come on, it's alright, Jotaro," you hummed, stroking your fingers along his cheekbones whilst he rode out his wheezy hyperventilating, head against your chest. Remembering the events previous always made him dizzy. Joseph's stabbing, the secret of DIO's stand revealed, the alleyway, the steam roller, the ambulance ride... His pained noises were frightening, like they were the pained sounds of all the souls lost to DIO himself. When you were here, those things eased away as if they didn't happen.
