Weaving through crowds of injured people, there was a loud crash from above, accompanied by an eye widening, green flash. Kakyoin. Shit.

The shrill screams of terrified people flew round, hundreds running away from the terrorism he was causing. Fear gripped you for a second, the thought of the boy's demise by DIO making you reel.
Legging it to the next street, there was a high-rise building with the lights off, but it didn't stop you. You shook the door, frustrated it simply clattered against the frame. All you could do was pray whatever state he was in, wherever he was, he wasn't dead. Crouching for a moment, you leaped up, walking up the wall and annexing the entire to the roof in one go.

In front of you was a crunched-up water tower. It's crystal clear liquid cascading into a separate sanguine pool beneath. Lay motionless and alone was Kakyoin, practically pissing out blood. Why didn't you think to bring out medical supplies? Running over, he reacted to your shout in his head. Why did you come back? What did you care?
"Kakyoin!" Shrugging your jacket off desperately, you fell to your knees beside his lifeless body. You pressed your whole weight into his wound, ignoring his pained hiss.
"It... It hurts..."
"Grit your teeth; I know it hurts!" He could make out your frenzied expression, your fangs most prominent to him despite falling in and out of consciousness. Your eyes were shut, so you stood a chance at fighting the urge to lick up his delectable blood. "The bleeding won't stop otherwise!" You shrugged off Hierophant Green as he used his tentacles to wrap around your wrists, tightening up around your arms with every breath.
"Oh... Well isn't this just sweet?" That lusty purr. "A vampire and a human... How romantic." That was it. You were so, so pissed off.
"Let him go. You'll have a far fairer fight up against me." Dio's cat-like features twisted into a sick simper, watching closely as you tore a line of piping to attack him with.
"The boy appears to care about you very much. Haven't you told him how old you are?"
"Shut up!!!" You screeched, your tall baton spinning between your fingers, blocked each time by the vampire's strong body. Twirling in between each other, Dio got a couple of hits in too, pushing you back with such force you slid neck first across the tarmac. Gripping the back of your neck as you tried to retain your posture, the villain laughed.
"You're weak. I can make you strong. Join me."
"Over your dead body!!" Lunging forward, you would have skewered an ordinary human. It did puncture Dio, but that was all. He raised his eyebrows, your surprise actually a surprise to him.
"My Dear Y/N... You should already know... You can't kill what's already dead." That was of course the final straw. Slapping your face, he grasped your neck, shaking you hard. You let him. Maybe he would leave you alone. He couldn't drain your blood since, you too, were a vampire.
"Highwaymen died out in the 19th century, Darling. You've wasted the gift I bestowed upon you."
Until you felt warmth, the ground pulling away from you beneath. A pinching sensation surfaced, bringing you to your senses. Struggling to sit up, you turned on your side, a green blur beside you.
"Y/N..." It coughed, a soft, skin like object touching your face. Widening your eyes, you saw Hierophant plugging the hole in Kakyoin's torso! He was clotting the blood just enough for him to live a while longer!
"I'm sorry I avoided the truth.." He felt your cool tears hit his fingers. You broke down, uncontrollably sobbing his name. "I'm so..." You could barely finish your sentence. "I'm so sorry...! Do you know how fucking stupid I am for promising you and I didn't even keep that...!" Your strangled voice was hardly above a whisper, him blinking his eyes in response. Mustering up all his remaining strength, the Japanese boy managed a smile.
"Shh... It's...Alright..." Pushing matted hair out of his face, you admired his handsome features while a strained chuckle left his throat. "I was a fool for... Putting you... In a situation like... This..."
"Don't be so... Stupid..." you growled. Shutting your eyes tight, you couldn't hold back the pain. Hooking your leg over his stomach, you convulsed in agonising cramp-like hurt. Whilst his Stand was trying, it wasn't enough. The Speedwagon Foundation were way out of range. You were going to die up here. Tears streamed down your face, instant regrets flying through your mind. Your parents, Dio, the Crusaders, but most importantly Kakyoin. He took you from your head at that moment.
"Look at me." After a second, deciding you had nothing to lose anymore, you swallowed, obeying his request. "I'm glad... That we met... In this life... I... I..." Rapidly deteriorating, you screamed in your head, but not out of your throat. "I love you..."

His hand fell limp on your face, ghosting down it. Your boyfriend had just died from blood loss in front of you. Mere seconds passed, as your vision faded to black.

"Oh... She's alive. Thank God." Your surroundings were hazy, head pounding. A strange noise could be hear every few seconds, your mouth growing hot. Blinking, you waited for your cloudy eyes to clear. You were in a hospital bed, the room full of stainless steel furniture.
"Mr... Joestar?"
"Yes, it's me Kid." The old man smiled, grateful you were alive and your memories were intact. Leaping up, the man restrained you gently, nausea quickly washing over you.
"Kakyoin—Where's Kakyoin?!"
"Hey, it's alright. Calm down. He's alive. Thanks to you. While your leg was pressed on his wound, you were preventing his Stand from sliding out of his body, essentially clotting his blood loss enough for him to survive until we got a hold of him."
"What about Dio?"
"The bastard's dead." Jotaro growled through gritted teeth.
