"JoJo, I wondered where you had been!"
"Mom! How did you?"
"I'm not sure. I was asleep and then woke up in this town." Turning your head to look over your shoulder, the teenager was confused at your stunned look. Dressed in turquoise coloured Green Dolphin St Jail overalls, your boots had the legs tucked in, similar to Jolyne. Since you were in the most guarded part of the maximum security prison, you were forced to wear a full uniform. After incriminating yourself to try and save your kid, Pucci took advantage of this, imprisoning you both, holding you to the murder charge and Jolyne to the robbery charge from five years ago. Almost managing a prison escape; it was imperative they kept 24-hour watch on you at all times.
"'Mom', huh?"
"I went to prison because you didn't, Kujo."
Jolyne held her head in her hands. The cryptic explanation made the situation even worse.
"What Mom means to say is, we've been framed, years in the future. There's a guy who's spun all this, he acts as the prison chaplain. Has it out for us, so Mom stupidly fed my lawyer complete bullshit to keep herself imprisoned."
Icicles could have literally formed from your eyes the way you were staring him out.
"You removed yourself from our lives years ago."
"Mom, look at him! Doesn't he look different to you?"
"Looks like Jotaro Kujo. That's enough for me." Jotaro's eyes were like pinpricks in his skull, full of complete confusion. "I'm surprised you even recognise your daughter!"
"What are you--?" His sentence was cut off with a whip of your wrist, sending a bullet through the delinquent's hat. Jolyne screamed at the shock, cowering at the sound of the recoil. Jotaro was astounded by those eyes, so full of hurt against this barrier you were putting up. But it couldn't be the ones he thought.
"He doesn't know. Stop it!" Clicks signalled the chamber rotating, sparking aggression in Jolyne's mood. "Put it down!" The demeanour was the same, his fighting spirit as shown in Cairo still imminent in his being.
"Oh he knows. Otherwise he'd try to kill me for shooting his precious hat."
"I thought you went back home."
"I thought you were a good man."
That was it. She stormed off in a huff. Forgetting the turtle was in his pocket, the entire receptacle could view through Jotaro's vision. Noticing a familiar call in his mind, he placed the amphibian on the floor, much to your concern. It was utterly bizarre. Two people appeared as if out of thin air, before this animal was placed back inside the schoolboy's coat. You recognised them both, but only one recognised you, calling your name.
"You want to tell me what this is all about? Why is there two of us?"
"Us?" Your doppelganger seemed truly lost. Of course, she wouldn't know. "That's me, in the prison overalls?" Hiding behind the brim of his cap, adult Jotaro confirmed. Barging past them, you began to pursue Jolyne, hips swaying viciously when you picked up the pace. "What happened?"
"I'm afraid there's some complications with our relationship... Well, for you, in the future."
"Tell me about it, there's two of me and two of you!"
"That's you way into the future. You're still married to me at the moment. I mean... My Y/N, in my world." Chuckling, you were too confused to care about his shyness.
"It's alright. I get it. Why is there such a gap between me and her but not you and my JoJo?"
"It's complicated... I've spoken to my future self about this and... I think this is who he meant."
"You spoke to your future self?! About what?"
"This situation. It's a pain. Apparently, my life just gets worse from here on out!"
"I don't know what the fuck either of you are talking about, but I'd appreciate if you kept the fuck up." Turning a slight corner, they were unable to see you or her, though Jotaro swore she came down this way. The bickering was becoming a headache, the three twatting on about timeline inconsistencies and Jolyne. "Slow down woman, she isn't going to go far—"
Impatient, an angered stick of leather barged past you, remaining cautious as he crossed the kerb since he assumed, she really hadn't gone far at all. Where was there to go in this small town, anyway? "Y/N. I don't care how angry you are, it's dangerous for us all out here."
"Jolyne!" She didn't reply. She probably wouldn't have heard anyway over your rambling. White coat Jotaro pointed her out all of a sudden.
"Ah, there she is. See, you always did worry too much." Shooting daggers at him, you continued your approach.
"Jolyne! You can't go walking off by yourself, there could be any sort of assassin around and—"
