"I'll have the Speedwagon Foundation fax me copies of-"
"Daddy!"
The line went silent, save for a door shutting and a deep sigh after what sounded like a child's greeting.
"Mr Jotaro, what's happened? Who's that?"
"I'll call you back, Josuke."
"Huh? H-Hey-!"
Beeps indicated the call had been terminated. Placing the phone down on the bed, the high schooler grimaced at it in confusion.
'Was that... A kid?', he thought to himself. Jotaro hadn't revealed much about his personal life, and a child is something you would mention in a situation like this!
Plus, Josuke was his family, he had a right to know!

Meanwhile, back at the hotel, the male pocketed the cell in his white pants before pinching the bridge of his nose to avoid exploding prematurely in front of his daughter, Jolyne.
"Why did you come here? With Jolyne, of all people?"
The young girl threw her arms to him, requesting attention from her absent parent. Jotaro could only oblige, picking her up. Unfortunately, the man's face didn't mirror her innocent smile and neither did yours. You were resting back on your elbows on the hotel bed, a scornful look across your face. Pouting, you leant forward, finally addressing the situation yourself.
"I should be asking you the same thing, Jotaro. I don't remember the Speedwagon Foundation being part of your inheritance dispute."
"I told you that I was sorry."
"I didn't ask for your excuses."
"This isn't some sort of holiday, you know, Y/N. I had to leave. The Old Man is-"
"Oh, I'm not bothered about you leaving, Jotaro. That part's fine, you do what you need to do." Rising to your feet, you strutted up to him, glaring at him from below. Your husband was intimidating due to his height, but your personality was far more jagged than his was. "But, lying about your," you paused, flashing his ID card in his face before continuing. "Alternative employment... That bothers me. They certainly don't research marine life, after all... What? Didn't think I'd find out?"
Okay. Alright. You'd got him. He should have known better. You were an ex employee of the Foundation, of course you would sniff him out.

"She's our child. I quit because it was the right thing to do! I'm a real dumbass for believing all your travelling was due to school but you won't ol me again."
"I told you I'm sorry."

"Why are you lying? You don't need to lie."
