"You gotta keep an eye out for-"
He halted, squinting into the blue ocean before him. The boys were confused, looking out to find what the marine biologist was looking at. There didn't seem to be anything out of the ordinary, just a woman hanging out by a huge cargo crate. Grumbling, his tone changed, as did his pace, his feet rushing over in a grump. "Why are you here?"
The man didn't often raise his voice, being stoic and calculating. That was the only side the boys had seen besides from when danger struck.
"Ahh, nothing..." you sighed. "I just thought you might like some help; y'know, with me being in town and all-"
"This is serious. You shouldn't be-"
"Y'know what else is serious?!" you cut in, furious. "Your daughter, Jotaro! Your family! I'm fed up of having to find out through the Speedwagon Foundation as to where you've gone off to this time! And then, I find out you've invited your Grandad here like it's some sort of holiday-!"
"Give me a break, woman." he uttered, shaking his head and gesturing for you to go away. "I am not having this conversation with you now." Jotaro walked on, scouting the area for Otoishi.
"You aren't prepared to have the conversation with me, ever!" you growled, performing a raging, full body turn to his uncle, stood awkwardly with his friends. "Josuke, isn't it? I recognise the eyes. I'm his wife," you said, looking over at Jotaro and pointing.
"His WIFE?! Mr Jotaro is married??" Koichi screamed with strangled breath, clasping his hands over his mouth to prevent further embarrassing himself. Okuyasu remained in thought, processing the precious exchange.
"'Your daughter...?'" he mumbled. "Didn't he tell you?" Folding your arms, you shuffled from one foot to the other, awaiting his explanation from behind you. Instead, he just walked back to glare down at you, unnerving Koichi to the point of wriggling and worrying. "Oh, of course not. It's not important, is it?" you mocked, tormenting him in front of these kids. "You're still that same bratty little boy you were in Egypt, ten years ago! I'm a fool for sticking around you-"
Grasping your wrist, he could barely look at you, physical contact the only bond you could have currently. His grip was rather strong, muscles tightening even more when you stopped babbling and made eye contact.
"I'm sorry."
"You're an idiot, Jotaro. I- Wait... You're what?"
"I said that I was sorry."There was a small moment of silence, before a piercing shriek came from your throat. Josuke, Okuyasu and Koichi looked on in shock and fear, your height suddenly towering over your husband, body covered in shiny scales, glimmering in the sunlight. Your face had moulded into that of a sea monster, terrifying the three of them. (Particularly Okuyasu, who cowered and whimpered.)
To make things worse, your voice was deep and shrill through what must have been your stand.
"What did you say???"
He breathed slightly shallower than before, but was otherwise unconcerned.
"I'm sorry, Y/N. I should have told you."
Shocked by his demeanour, you supposed he had at least said sorry, and shrunk back to your human self, much to the absolute surprise of his companions. Frowning, you blinked at him, his sheepish, yet handsome, stare winning you over as usual. You sighed, turning to the schoolboys as if nothing had happened.
"I'm sorry, you three. I haven't introduced myself." Winking, you smiled at them, their jaws hanging open. "I'm Y/N, Jotaro's wife. What you saw just then was my stand, Limited Edition Heart."
"That was your stand? But it was... Well, it was you!"
"Hm, never seen one like that before? I was pierced with the arrow and fell into the sea. I wouldn't have survived if it wasn't for my stand. Have you all got stands?"
"Yeah, all three of us are stand users!" Okuyasu cheered, excited that the topic had come up. "What is your stand's power?"
"I don't really have a specific power. I have claws, though." You were just about to show them off when Kujo butted in.
"Come on, there's a ship in the distance."A scream rung out into the dock, alerting Jotaro and Okuyasu. It was a high pitched, painful scream, followed by flashes of bright lights and a static vibration onshore.
Placing his palm to the back of your skull, the brute gently lifted your head
You sunk into his chest, exhausted by the shock you had received.
"Y/N, oh, for fuck sake say something."
"I could feel worse," you mumbled, presenting him with a shakey smile, eyes meeting his. Your body was heavy and tingly, electric prickles stabbing you all over your flesh. His electric attack had burned so many of your scales to a crisp, something that could possibly take months to heal. "I'm pretty fucked up," you groaned, prodding your front and causing searing pain through your insides.
"You dumb bitch. This is why I didn't want you come."
"I bought Koichi some time though, didn't I?"
"Your beautiful scales are ruined." Bowing his head and scrunching his eyes up, tears were held back tightly. "and you almost damn near barbecued yourself."
"Well, we did survive DIO all those years ago... A few burns are nothing," you winked.
